We've passed the solstice that brings on Summer. The motorsports scene for WSC has been very active and has seen plenty of variety over the last few months.
Rally
The Calgary region played host to the annual Rocky Mountain Rally event in the Kananaskis area.
The event concluded with our very own JC "TheJean" Bourgeois and Johnny "Vicar" Summers bringing in 3rd and 5th respectively in the regional standings.
Infamous Pat "Rocket" Richard brought in a very respectable 2nd place finish with "TheJean" sliding into the number 12 spot for the national placings.

Rally-x/Winter-x
Late spring found "wintercross" actually turn into rallycross and more than a few members participated this spring.The CSCC "rally-x" season ended with members (driving Subarus) falling into place:

Autocross
The ASA, CSCC, and Fort McMurray autocross seasons have been in full swing since spring. Final results are, obviously, not available but you ca keep an eye on the "WSC Motorsports Challenge" - here!

Everyone has something available, in a relatively local area, to participate in some good old motorsports. Keep an eye here to find the latest events in your area!

Alrighty folks, here's the slice...
We've decided that inmotion hosting no longer is sufficient for our needs, so the forums have been moved off to a Virtualized Private Server hosting (slicehost).
This will give us the resources/control we need and so far everything is looking verypromising.
The biggest issue we are now facing is the higher cost of running the forums.
This hosting is well over twice the cost of the old hosting so we'll be looking at ways of making sure we can carry this cost for the long term.

We're wrapping up the winter racing season, and gearing up for the summer. The last two CSCC WAX events are on April 11th, and 25th. Details here.
Auto-X School
To kick off the new season, the ASA will be holding their annual Auto-X school with a classroom session on April 29th, and on-course sessions on May 1st. This is a beginners-only school, meant to either get you into auto-x for the first time, or help rookies fine-tune their skills. You can enroll for the school if you have not taken this school twice previously. I strongly recommend this school if you're tentative about the sport. You won't have a better chance to go try it out - and I can tell you from experience if you're paying attention, you're going to see a huge improvement on the course just from the morning to the afternoon.

So there's a lot going on and and a lot coming up with WSC right now - so it's time to do a quick roundup.
Wing nights are still going strong in Edmonton and Calgary. Check out the forum for weekly votes on where to go:

Additionally, races abound this season. We've got the CSCC WAX events, The ASA WAX events, RX-7 Club, and Edmonton rally Club. As it stands you could probably go racing at least one every weekend for the next while. Check out the EVENTS forum for details.
