Age: 34

Job Title: Branch Manager

Hometown: Calgary,AB

Car: USDM 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX aka "Casper"

Color: Aspen White

Mileage: Just turned 110,000 miles

What made you want to buy a Subaru?

Being a rally fan for several years when the 02 WRX came to North America I just had to have one. Knowing it was out of my league, and price range with 1 kid and another on the way it wasn't going to happen... but it was a dream! In the fall of 06 a buddy picked up an 06 STi and I swore I'd have one my birthday (late July). After months of searching I found my car and flew down to LA the Sept long weekend in 07 and drove my baby home. Since then we've bought a 91 Legacy SS, and 3 2002 WRX's all written off to different degrees, one of which has been salvaged, and we use for TSD and Auto-cross.

What makes your car different from others?

It's not WRB? lol... no seriously. I wanted and searched for a white one, thinking white is different and not as popular color for cars, let alone Subies. Little did I know a couple years later white would be the most popular color choice for vehicles? However it was the Seibon CWII Carbon Fibre hood that made my car 'stand out' from the crowd. I was spotted in some cases 2-3 times a day. Since going to more of a stock STi look I don't get spotted as much but those who know me and my car do see it!

Are you involved in Motorsports? Which ones?

I live for motorsports. Being an avid fan of rallying I've wanted to get into stage rally for some time. A very close friend of nearly 15 years has been driving for me in TSD rallies for the last 2 1/2 years and weare currently ranked 2nd in our class and 7th overall even with 2 DNF's due to a blown motor and tight right hander... I have also gotten the bug for Auto-Cross. Although I've only driven my car twice in 2 events in 09, my first showing I was the second fastest Subaru, 4th in class and 6th overall in a field of 29 cars. These times did include the penalties for the sacrifice of several cones so I'm excited to see what happens next season when I learn how to drive!! I'm hoping to get more seat time in Auto-cross events and eventually we'll get our rally car caged and prepped for stage rally!

What is your favorite Subaru moment?

Seeing the camaraderie and friendship that came with my car when I bought it. Who ever thought there was such a huge following and group of like-minded folks that follow the Subaru brand everywhere you go!

If you could drive your car on any road in the world, wherewould you go?

The ring; Germany... no question it would be the first place to test and tune my car. Following that, maybe a cruise down the Atlantic coast of Europe!

If Subaru didn't exist what would you be driving?

Hmmm, tough question. Maybe I'd still have my ol' Cavalier... hopefully it would have died by now... but god forbid Subaru wasn't an option it might have been.

What was your very first car?

'Back in the day' I was licensed at 14 and bought my first car just over a year later. It was late in 1989 and I was the proud owner of a 1979 Plymouth Volare. It was a dark green (I'd like to think British Racing Green) with a seat in the back that I could haul 6 friends in and would remind you of that old nasty patterned couch your grandma had in that room you weren’t allowed in.

On the WSC website, what is your favorite forum to post in?

All of them. I'm a bit of a post whore... I work in IT so I spend 8+ hours a day in front of the net so I read most posts and quite often add my .02 cents. It's toned down a bit lately as I'm trying to post more 'contributing' info... but the foolish youngin' in me gets the better and I'll still throw out some random chicken beaks every once in a while.

What is your drink of choice?

Crown Royal on the rocks... or a Rickards White on 'wing nights'

What is your favorite flavour of chicken wings?

Thai Chilli for sure... 'hot' being a close second.

If you could meet any celebrity as a zombie, who would it be?

I'd have to say Travis Pastrana. As crazy as he is from his NitroCircus days, to MTX and Rally… even being a zombie wouldn’t stop him from killing himself with crazy stunts and 269 ft. jumps… wait; if he was a zombie he would be dead, wouldn’t he? I could only image the fearlessness he’d have then!

Do you agree with Top Gear's Greatest Car Manufacturer?

I'd have to say I don't know enough about the Lancia to comment on if it's right or wrong as we don't see too many this side of the pond. Besides that's decided by the public/viewers not statistical data.
