What made you want to buy a Subaru?

Funny story, after I finished buying a 1995 Honda Civic coupe I was driving it home when all of a sudden... no power... the engine died... seems the alternators in those cars are weak, which left me stranded on the side of the road in Vancouver overnight waiting for parts to arrive. Luckily I knew some people who worked at a Honda dealership who arranged for parts to be delivered to the side of the road, 14hrs later, the new distributor was installed and I was back on the road towards the ferry. Needless to say I was really second guessing my purchase when this beautiful Mica Blue Pearl 2001 Subaru 2.5RS pulled up in the parking stall next to me at the local Tim Hortons. Immediately I looked over the car from head to toe. The hood scoop captivated me, and that boxer rumble from the exhaust almost made me wet my pants. The owner ended up taking me for a drive, and.. well... I was hooked. After I fixed the problems with the Honda, it went up for sale and the search for my Subaru began.

What makes your car different from others?

That one is tricky. Most people passing by my car immediately notice the bright in your face World Rally Blue color, most Kia Rio owners notice the hood scoop and ask if it does anything, and Mustang owners comment how good the exhaust note sounds when they are trying to catch up to me on the highway. What I think makes my car different from the others, smooth flowing lines, no "in your face" modifications, and a look and performance that confuses most people to asking me if it actually came from the factory like this.

What is your favorite Subaru moment?

I wouldn't say its my most favorite Subaru moment, I'd say its more a memorable Subaru moment, when Colin McRae and his son died (RIP) in a helicopter crash in September 2007.

If you could drive your car on any road in the world, where would you go?

Does it have to be only one road, because I've got a few picked out. :D The Nürburgring in Germany, or the mountain switchbacks in Japan, and even the forest twisty roads around San Fransisco. All of those roads would be fun, maybe my car wouldn't be up to the task, but at least I'd have fun trying.

If Subaru didn't exist what would you be driving?

To tell you the truth, I really don't know. I'm just really happy that Subaru does exist, because I've found that their line of cars really appeals to me and my way of life.

What was your very first car?

HAHA... oh man, I don't even want to think about that. My first car was purchased for $800. It was a 1981 Ford Mustang LX, it had an inline 6 cylinder engine with an automatic transmission, painted blue with white Shelby racing stripes... the car was a POS, but it provided me with transportation.

On the WSC website, what is your favorite forum to post in?

I would have to say, anything in the Technical Section. I'm usually cruising around those threads taking a look to see if anyone has any problems they need a hand with.

What is your drink of choice?

Tim Horton's XL DD, and sometimes if I'm feeling "daring" then I might have a Moka (1/2 HC, 1/2 Coffee).... Oh wait.. were you asking about alcohol related drinks?

What is your favorite flavour of chicken wings?

hmmm, its been so long since I've had chicken wings, as Cold Lake doesn't have any wing nights. But, if I was to go to a restaurant that had them, I'd probably get Sweet & Sour, I'm not much of a fan of anything overly spicy or hot.
