Sorry to hear. If you game at all and have Steam, hmu!
Quality bodge. What causes the problem, bumper flexes and the tabs don't?

Started the dreaded job of removing the PPF today. First time touching the car since November 28th. In two hours I got the headlights, mirrors and roof done. My method of madness is to boil water in the kettle, pour it into a pot and put a microfibre in it, then drape it on the 3M for approximately 15 seconds before pulling the 3M off at a roughly 45 degree angle. The amount of glue left over is not as bad as I expected but it’s not completely clean.

All that’s left is the entire hood, entire front fenders, entire rear quarters, side skirts and front bumper  :sarcasm:

So in typical Lotus form, both my turn signal housings were broken.  I noticed when one of them slumped out of the receiver for it. These tabs break on all of these cars. Of course replacements are worth more than I'd care to spend on the repair. Another bodgy R(repair)IY.

It's been a while since the last update, but I finally got around to working on the car again. It ran great all summer, but I noticed that the car was prone to heat soak and really down on power during the hot days, especially after sitting at a traffic light.

After driving I couldn't touch the intercooler without burning my hand so I figured I would add a few more reliability mods:
  • Heat wrap downpipe
  • Add a PTP turbo blanket
  • Reflective tape on the IC
  • Order a Perrin turbo silicone inlet (because the plastic stock one sucks and is impossible to take off)
  • New Samco turbo outlet because the old one is showing its age
  • IAG Oil Air Separator

What I've done so far.

I'm still waiting on all of there other parts to arrive. The fuel hoses started leaking during the cold days in the fall so I'm also replacing those with better clamps and new hoses.

I am part of World Health still.. (begrudgingly) and they have steam room. At the end of every workout I go in there now and follow it with a cold shower and I now find myself looking foreword to the sauna more than the workout sometimes.

I made the colossal mistake of going to World Health Gateway for 10am today. It was a very good reminder of how much I hate most gym goers. If you need/want a gym buddy, I'm usually there most mornings for around 6:15-6:30 am, and Saturday's at around 8am as well.

On a different note, I got asked to spot one of the more advanced weightlifters at the gym this morning, despite being super smole, so that was super cool being trusted to do that.
