I used to live in Point McKay (1998-2008) and it was a nice 3.5km bike ride to/from work downtown.  Right on the Bow River pathway system.  It was easy and quick access to shopping, the mountains, memorial drive/shaggin'happy drive.

This is unit 107 (I was right next door in 109):

Single garage though..

As nice of a place as that is, I honestly just don't need that much space right now. I'd rather save myself $100,000 or so, live closer to my workplace, and not have to have a longer commute than 15 or so minutes walking.

I'll also echo Player One's fine post. I lived in Renfrewfor 1.5 years and worked downtown in Victoria Park close to the Stampede grounds. Transit was a 7 minute bus ride coupled with a 10 minute walk.
I occasionally would walk home, that would take about 25-30 minutes.

Another consideration, the closer you are to the LRT line downtown nets you the benefit of free fare; just gotta get on at the designated spots. Could save you that 10-15 minute walk depending on where your office is.

Again, some great comments! Thanks! I will certainly look into these as well.

Things were going well this morning. Replaced all the cam seals, pulled the RH valve cover and checked Valve lash. everything looked good so I sealed it back up.

Next I got the oil pump back on, everything was going great.

This is where the good luck ended pretty much. The Engine is propped up on a jack while waiting for the mounts to dry. naturally the engine swayed a bit to the drivers side, which helped with the space issues. I  needed to swing the engine back over to the other side so I popped a pry bar in between the engine and frame and POP  it was already too late, I had broken the oil filler neck. Quickest replacement in red deer is a week away.

I continued forward and pulled the valve cover off. Got it cleaned up and checked valve Clearance. Intake cam was good, Exhaust cam was not so good: 0.004", 0.000" 0.005", 0.002". The 0.000" is tight enough to make it difficult to spin by hand.

Looks like my next day is all planned out now.

Over the last few days Brynn has had a paint correction and polish, and then a two stage ceramic coating added. The whole car has been coated, including a soft top ceramic based hydrophobic coating and even the calipers have been coated.  Here's a couple shots as she cures in the sun.
