any bladers on here?
« on: July 08, 2010, 04:14:27 pm »
hey

I have been rollerblading for a long time now, I love it.

just got these new skates,

K2
ILQ (load tested abec) 9 bearings
90mm/100mm staggered wheels

I took em out for a try today... wow, I didn't want to stop so I kept going!  35km  awesome

if anyone wants to meet up for a blade let me know, I usually go every weekday.

Man, I loved rollerblading, but haven't gotten out in 2-3 years now. My old set were just garbage, and I haven't had time/money to pick up a new set. I used to go before I started working full time. I would start @ Crescent Hill, go down, across to Prince's Island Park, and then back up. Was a blast!
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.
If you're having forum problems, I feel bad for you son, I got 99 problems but your post ain't one.

FWIW

Sport check is clearing their stock out!  lots of abec 9 skates for 240 and abec 7's for 150 ish!

K2 or Rollerblade seem to be the way to go from the research that I did

i wonder how the abec 9s or that new bearing compare to my catalysts micro bearings.  Those things were only on 80mm wheels but they absolutely flew.  Know of any that use a magnesium frame anymore?

hmmmm nope I don't know.

the ILQ9's are the "new" baller bearing as they are actually rated and tested under load for the 9 rating, so I thought I would try them

They seem to be far faster than the abec 9 ones so far, and a different league than the abec 7's I bought 2 months ago.

I think they are amazing, we should have a test!
