So my son says... Dad... why do you always have to fix your car after you go racing... I could only laugh. I tried to explain it not that it needs fixing after ever race, but it had minor issues that should have been fixed before racing, and the track time just made them stick out... haha. Not sure if he bought it or not...

But, I got my cooling system all replaced, so a new Koyo rad, hoses, thermostat:

And I added a little JDM to the front as well... down another few lbs... should shave another .25secs off the lap time... haha.

Tuesday night we're back at RCMP for lapping... can't wait!

Anyone have a foot I can borrow? Either a right or a left will do. Preferable something larger than a size 2, but smaller than a 14...

I need to bleed my brakes after last weeks lapping day I found this:

after pulling it and swapping back in my street pads, I found the seals on the caliper had been installed backwards and melted, so I had to rebuild that caliper.. again. lol

Wow!  Good thing you found that before you ended up with big issues.

Hmm now that i look at it: there IS a certain attractive quality with the car blurred out.. although i cant figure out why i'd be more attracted to that one over the fully in focus one.

I like the one fully in focus.. the one out of focus makes it look almost like you have a dirty lense, or it's foggy out.. I don't know why, but deep down, it's just not as aesthetically pleasing.
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.
If you're having forum problems, I feel bad for you son, I got 99 problems but your post ain't one.

I think so... I just went north on Center from Stoney, turned left, and then right on some lonely gravel rd...

Re: Introducing Casper the 04 WRX - TRACK WOES...

As you may know this past weekend was another 2 day track event with lapping on Friday, and Event 5 in the CSCC Solo1 Series on Saturday. Thursday night I start the relative easy and painless task of swapping in my track pads when I notice one of my tires was worn bad and some cords were shown... yea I was self teching my car... but I didn't feel safe so I needed to find someone after 7:30 who could swap a tire from another one in my collection. Upon removing another tire I notice a huge nail or something in it... now I need two swapped. Lucky I found a place close to home that could so it. But before leaving I notice that the front right wheel bearing is loose... and not just loose but seriously fubar'd. So a quick call to the dealership and I had one in my hands some 30 mins later. Back to the tire shop and I was ready... to take the car in to have the bearing replaced. So needless to say I lefft the car at our shop all day Friday and ended up replacing the bearing and hub as it was too worn to reuse. Finally late Friday I had my car back and was ready to go...
Saturday morning I made the first session of warmup laps only to push to hard into corner 2... again and a minor off (or so I thought) may have done something in my transmission or stressed something cause a quick stop in the pits and there was transmission fluid dripping out of the front of the trans case. My day was done, and I didn't even get to do one timed lap... arrrg.

So Casper will spend the next few days getting a front seal in the transmission replaced which *hopefully* will be the last of my woes for a little while. Next event is next Tuesday night... lapping.

It seems track time is cheap in comparison to the 2 sets of pads and rotors, rad, thermostat, hoses tires and a couple hours shop time... lol. but hey... I'm having one hell of a time!

PS. Looking for track prepped neon. PM with details. hahaha....

So when did you inherit Sleepers car?
 :P

I kid. You both have had such bad luck at the track; or maybe this is par for the course.
