loud bang when leaving stall

yesterday and today when I pulled away from a side road with a lot of snow, I would accelerate to leave and would hear a bang right when the vehicle moved, just now it happened at kal tire to the point I nearly had to launch to break it free, and the bang was louder, the guys here said it was the snow built up on my rims nd rotors that froze, but I think it may be the diff, if I remember, the ebrake locks the diff?, ahh what do you guys think?!

I'd say it's probably snow/ice freezing between the pads and rotors.  I get this on my STI as well.

Even in the summer time when I wash my car and let it sit, the pads kinda get stuck on the rotors due to surface rust and they make a loud noise when I move the car.

happen'd to me this morning.. i have to back out of my car pad in the morning and startles me everytime.   feels like the ebrake is on then out of no where...BANG..and your free! :P

FYI the ebrake locks the rear rotors mechanically with a cable

im sure it cant be too great for the clutch...but im having the same issue when i leave the car for anymore than an hour outside...99% sure its ice build up!

Warm tires melt snow and freeze you to the ground too. That happens frequently to me.

just happened again after i got back from the movie theatre, i went to drive off with a female friend of mine, she stood outside because i was next to a snow bank, i had to launch the car to break free, she was shocked and thought i broke something....

it sounds rank....

It's been happening to my car all day.  Everytime I park the car for a couple of minutes, the brakes freeze up.  I'm almost getting used to it now.

Had something similar + this.

When I'm inside the car from a cold start it sounds like my exhaust is broken or missing the mufflers. And sound gets louder when I rev the engine.
But when I'm standing outside it is a lot quieter.  As soon as I'm in gear and drive away the noise is gone, and sometimes very subtle when I'm neutral waiting for a light.

I'm guessing it's the large chunks of ice I saw sticking to the under carriage and the cats on the exhaust (got myself high centered on a empty road in a commercial district the night before)  I hope it's just ice, I was kinda freaked out that my preza sounded like it was busted up this morning.  Going to try and melt some ice at a car wash if any are open,  need to get all that snow/ice packed into my wheels anyway.

could have been ice built up for sure, mine had a rattling/clanking noise earlier, then again plowing through snow drifts then parking for the night could cause that....
