I see one hiding in the foreground too. :P

So true, 2 turbo Mazdas, one FWD, and one barely AWD. :P

I threw my summers back on as well. I was installing coilovers and had the wheels off anyways, so I figured I might as well change them because I didn't want to jack the car back up again. Looks like my laziness cost me lol.

Yeah until I noticed they come with only 7/32 tread compared to the star specs that come with 10/32

I'll wait a little bit longer, another week or two.  I'd rather drive according to the limitations of my snow tires in the warming weather rather than the limitations of my all seasons in the freak storms and remaining patches of snow and ice.  20+ cm of snow yesterday reinforced my decision  :cops:

Mine are going on when they show up with my wheels.
I don't name things I know I'm going to sell eventually. Hence why I'd never name any kids I had.

yeah. Im looking at the kumho escta xs. They have had some good reviews in regards to there warm summer performance. And if I dont go with them will probably jump on the band wagon and get some star specs.

Mine won't go on for a few more weeks.
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.

ditto.  Re01R dislike cold weather.... not just snow.  Besides, my winter tires are far cheaper then my summers and more comfortable and better in this gravel and quiet.  Probably run them until the end of april :P

Got a nail in one of my Winter tires yesterday (repairing it today) so my summers went on. I guess I will keep them on until it snows again.

My summer tires trend is getting low so I was thinking about getting some Re760's but the guy at Costco was saying I should go with Re050's (I think). All I really want is a summer only DD tire, with good Wet Braking  :-\ .
Also my Winters are getting low so new nokian R's will be ordered next year to replace my Rsi's.

 Expensive tire year  :(

Great tire when it's hot and dry out, terrible tire if it's cold and wet. Personally I would give the RE11s a shot.

They're popular among Lancer guys but I don't think they're in the same league as RE070s, RE11s, Star Specs, etc.

yeah, I ended up going with the star specs. Its really hard to beat that tire with the performance it offers and the price of the tire. I read too many horror stories of the XS, and its very poor wet performance.

I was thinking about going RE11, but for an extra 200 bucks I was not 100% sure if it would be worth it and i think the star spec will be a good compromise. Just ordered them today, so should be here in 2 weeks i think.

extreme contact are not even in the same catagory of tires like the , sp600, RE11s, star specs, R-S3, Nitto NT05 or the escta xs. These tires are really performance orientated, where ride comfort and longevity of the tire are sacrificed for performance.

The DW will be good tires, but in the reviews i have read most people said they had poor turn in feel, and felt spongy through the corners. The performance will be ok but not like the others. They will last longer tho, the ride will be smoother, and the tires will last longer.

I'll be running Hankook R-S3 when the time comes, but that won't be until the temps are hitting 10*C consistently.
