Dang that sucks!  For the record, my wife drives her rwd Dakota like it's a Corvette, maximizing that oversteer around corners, hehehe.

Still though, this is an awesome project, small setback!!
throw a rock in the air and you'll hit someone guilty

Hey hey hey...  It's hard to keep track of things when you have parts from 3 different cars sitting in your garage :P

Not 3 ver 5 swaps though ;)  I somewhat agree though, you could have bought a 2.5RS long block for about $1000 and done a straight swap in about a day.

lol thats is how i justify it to myself, if i knew it would end up like this i would have done a swap in the first place, but oh well, thats life, live and learn.
cheers
-Evan

Another way to justify what you've done is by thinking now you've got experience doing something not every Subaru owner out there has ever done before.  Most people are too scared to open up a block, replace whatever needs replacing, put it back together, and have it running again.

I'm pretty proud that you started the project, completed it, and gained soo much experience for the future.  Best of all, it doesn't appear that your afraid to use tools to fix something or to think outside the box to overcome a difficulty.  Maybe next time, you will swap it, maybe not.  But in a short amount of time, I can see that you'll be a great asset to this cite, and people will be coming to you for advice on how to proceed for fixing their cars.

Anyways, I should shut up now.. I've got hockey to get ready for.

Thanks! But actually i didn't take the block apart, as it wasn't needed plus would have taken much more time, if i had that much time, i would have definitly done it. All i did was re-ring the block, and that wasn't necessary either, but it was quick and we had the pistons out anyway.

cheers
