99+ were phase 2 with no maf and a redesigned cylinder head to improve compression and efficency. Hp was bumped up from 137 to 142.

Anything prior was phase 1. I think 97 was cut off year from dual port heads.

Heh, thats cool to know! I thought single port exhaust headers automatically meant phase two... Heh, cool to know!
I'm pretty sure this car does have the same motor as the original car. I'm pretty sure the motor in the original car came out of a '97

can you send me a close up of the overall intake manifold and the injector/fuel rail style?

While the heart of the car is still good, the shell must be separated.
It is my view that the soul of the car will be changed, and therefore an entirely different project even though it will have the same spirit and purpose.

I'm gonna make the executive decision to close this thread.
A new one should be started for the new project, the new soul, the new hoonigan.

The Laggin' Wagon brought joy to many lives, frustration to each owner, and also frustration to others who witness this marvelousness and how it kept on ticking.
I've missed you ever since you left, and I'll always have the awesome memories.
