By Pinkrobe's request, what's your favorite beer?  For me it's usually Alexander Keith's or Sleeman's.  Some microbrews are good, but some are terrible.  Never EVER drink skunky alley kat.

Thank you Silent!

Brews I love: Guinness, Hoegaarden [named for the town where it's brewed], La Fin du Monde, Maudite, Blanche de Chambly, Pabst Blue Ribbon [only on tap in the US], any of the many Czech pilsners [especially on a hot day], Brew Brothers Black Pilsner, Budweiser [only in bottles and only when brewed in the US], Boddington's, Kilkenny, Tsing Tao, Kirin,

Stuff you would have to pay me to drink: Labatt Blue, Rickard's White, any Tree beer, Mountain Crest [****ing NASTY]

Strewth, I'll drink just about anything you put in front of me.  I draw the line at squirting orange, lemon or any citrus in my beer.  It kills the taste, and if I want vitamin C, I'll have a gin and tonic with lime.

I good pint of guiness always caught my eye or taste buds, Steamwhistle is another favorite of mine.  I also enjoy Brewsters raspberry ale if I had to choose a microbrewery. Raspberries floating in your beer, as fruity as it may sound it is still damn tasty.
...oh yah and a plug for the ole Blue Star (Newfoundland) whenever I can get my hands on the stuff.

The Guinness in Dublin is THE best, 'bar' none. Funny story, I was taking the tour at St. Jame's Gate brewery where they show you how Guinness is made from start to finish. At the end of the tour you are given a complimentary pint from their own bar. An American couple were in at the same time as me, at the end they were offered a free pint, and the guy said "Oooh, that looks too big for me, do you have a small glass instead?" To which the barman said "WHAAT???? NOOOOOooooooo!!!!!!"  heehee

Anyhooo...

Guinnness, Bass (from The Red House in Leamington Spa), Stella, Kronenberg, and if it's a hot day - or I'm hung over - I like a nice dry cider.

If its beer - I like it.  My favorite would be any of the wheat beers I had at the various small breweries I visited in southern Germany / Austria.  The stuff they import over here is too mass-produced and not as good - though rickards white is reasonably close without having to pay import-beer prices all the time.
