Update:

The DH runs at Panorama are a lot more fun than Fernie.  Some very gnarly sections and some crazy, albeit very well built wood sections. 

Skinnies that go forever? yup, lots of those. 
Pant crap launches? check!
Huge wooden structures? pick one.
A thick rubber strap connectin two skinnies with a drop? I'd never have imagined it, but I'll be damned if I let it beat me next time!

I'm splitting my Saturday between Pano and Mt. Swansea in Invermere.  If anyone is around and FR/Dh'ing let me know.  I sure could use a 3rd for shuttling

definetly a wicked hill, lots of trails ranging from easy to challenging! and gorgeous scenery, but still manages to be pretty empty!
personally i like fernie a little more, but its really just prefrance. top gun is just too fun


last time i was in pano tho i shattered my wrist on what im guessing youd call a pant crap launch ahah

I've found that FAR's bike trails have really deteriorated in the last 3 years or so.  If they pick it back up I think it can be really good.

For 2011 my "local" chair lift destinations will be Golden and Pano.
