What would you recommend for anybody new to both.
I skiiied for 3 years as a kid when I was 12, now in my late 30's.
I skateboarded many years (so I assume snowboarding will be easy  ;D)

But seriously what would you recommend to start?
tbh Snowboarding seems, umm this may start a flame war, 'cooler' and I like the idea of both feet planted on a board instead of each leg being able to go in different directions.

As for what I want to do? What interests me, just being out there mostly, I do like the idea of Half Pipe as I am an avid vert BMX'er.

I've never been on skis, but I envy how much more mobility skiers have, especially in the backcountry, but I really have no desire to try it, a board is a lot of fun!
