Question to all you skiers/riders out there. If you had a choice between Sunshine and Marmot tomorrow which one would you choose?
I know there are better places but I am in the same situation as rith. I have passes. My location is Edmonton if that helps and I am going with my wife who just got a new board and bindings and she is an OK rider.

OMG. Jasper was sick. Hit the cliffs just under eagle chair (2 times) and hiked up to the sumit as the clouds broke. Blue bird for the second half of the day. I will try to get the video up here.

Castle was a lot of fun.  There wasn't any snow but it didn't matter as I was on a board for the second time in my life.

I was getting pretty comfortable with my turns and everything.  After 20 years of skiing it was pretty fun to try something new :)

Still working on trying to upload the video but in the mean time here are some pic's of the hike up.

Note in both pic's my wife does not have a snowboard. That is b/c I could only convince her to hike up if I carried her board. It actually made for better balance :)

I have got a chalet booked for Kicking horse this weekend. I can't wait to ride from the top of terminator ridge again.

Jeff what was the bar with the 2x4 jenga?

Was at Castle today. Found some freshies up on the North Peak, but the snow was pretty hard and crusty just about everywhere. Visibility was very poor. Ended up goofing around in the park for a while, watched my wife hit her first big jump and hit a couple boxes. Very proud, I am!

It's the "Scottish" bar past the main buildings.  Take your first right after the parking lot and it's at the end.  It's pretty tough to miss.

Well everyone I took the trip out to sunshine yesterday and I am sad report that the conditions sucked. If I wanted to ski Canada Olympic Park I could have stayed here.

I just got home from my weekend at kicking horse. Unfortunately we never managed to make it to the local hero, they were having a private function last night.

Friday night they got 10 cm at base and close to 30 at the top. Hiked terminator ridge twice, whitewall 4 times and then today hiked T2. Man its intimidating when you round the corner and there is a rope. I can honestly say I have never had a better experience then riding down t2. Will post some pics in a bit
