Ok, well, today I placed an order with Import Image.

Parts ordered:
Group N Transmission Mount for 02-11 WRX – for 5 speed WRX *
Whiteline 22mm Rear Fixed Swaybar - 04-07 WRX Sedan & Wagon – Part# BSR36
Whiteline 22mm Front Fixed Swaybar 02-07 WRX Wagon – Part# BSF12

NRG Ball Type Style Shift Knob - Titanium ball style Type-R

I'm buying the transmission mount due to me breaking the studs off the stock mount. Since I was placing an order, figured Id grab a few things since its got to be shipped anyway.

So I grabbed a set of whiteline front and rear swaybars. I opted for the fixed as I'm more of an install and forget type of guy. Don't like fiddling with settings much.

And finally, a random shift knob that I just threw in order as mine is worn and wanted something different.

Dealing with Josh at Import Image was a good experience. Id buy from him again. A big + for me was the lightning fast response time. Love it!

Ughhh. Things keep getting worse!!! After a bit of a complication and misunderstanding, apparently my parts have still not shipped and there are problems with parts availability therefore I have decided to cancel my order with Import Image.

That being said, I have placed an order today with Touge Tuning. I emailed them regarding parts availability and they responded almost immediately and answered all my questions. They were even able to process all my stuff immidiately and have it shipped TODAY! Which is great... cuz my cars on jackstands... and I really need my Daily Driver back!!!

Anyhow, The guys at Import Image were good to work with, they told me they will refund me the majority of my purchase, like I said, some complications. They just couldnt help me out with my rush order but that doesnt mean they wern't good to work with. This little fisco will not affect my decision to potetially give them my business for a turbo swap.  >:D But that is to be kept in the "future mods" category.  ;D

Oh and forgot to mention, due to Whiteline recalls and lack of parts availability for swaybars, I cant get ANY Whiteline sway bars ANYWHERE!!

Therefore, on order from Touge Tuning is:
Group-N TRansmision Mount
Kartboy Front and rear endlinks

That means if anyone has any STi swaybars for sale for cheap, and if they fit my wagon, i want them. If I cant find some locally, I will have to wait until Whiteline fixes up their recall shenanigan.

Have you considered RCE for your sway bars?  Dales Alignment should be able to help you out.

Sounds good. Thanks for the suggestion. Will definetly check them out. But first Ill see if anyone in Edmonton has their stock STi ones that I can pick up for cheap. That should suffice for the winter, and come spring Ill put in another big order.

IIRC, the rears fit no problem but the fronts may need some... modification.

EDIT: Found all the info I need regarding Swaybar fitment. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showpost.php?p=18688737

Yeah, just not driving. Didnt have a spare, therefore, when they sheared off, I just left the car on jackstands in the garage and its been there for 2 weeks. Touge Tuning advised me that the parts should arrive tuesday Oct 11th though, so ill finally get the car back.

@STI2NV -> Ive been walking everywhere for two weeks, if I had that much money lying around I would have simply rented a car. Therefore, to answer your question, no, I won't buy new ones for your car and take your old ones. lol. Funny guy!!

I hear the main difference between rce and whiteline is that the white lines are solid, and rce are hollow. Do you have a set of rce, are you happy with them? Does the hollowness affect it's effectiveness?

Don't have them yet...planning on it next summer.
TenaciousB has them and swears by them.  I respect Whiteline as well, I just think RCE is a good alternative.

Well, last night I went to the E-town Wednesday Wing Night Meet, picked up a STi rear swaybar to tide me over until I get some nice beefy ones from either Whiteline or RCE. :) Thanks Kenny!

Comparing the STi one to the WRX one, it looks HUGE!!! haha.

Not too sure what size the 2005 STi swaybars are, but its definetly an upgrade compared to my stockers, plus they will mend well with my new Kartboy Endlinks.

That means next week sometime I will have an evening fun of install.

To do:
Group-N Transmission mount
TiC Transmission crossmember bushings
Front and rear Kartboy endlinks
STi Rear swaybar

Oh, and lets not forget my new shiftknob. :)
God I cant wait to get rid of my stock one.

Have fun with the install, should feel nice and tight after :)

I hated my stock shift knob too, it was cut from the team a week after I got the car ha ha

Canada Post delivered my package tuesday, and I only got time late last night to work on my car to get it back on the road. I installed my Group-N transmission mounts as well as my TiC Transmission cross-member bushings.

Wow, it feels very connected to the frame now. The majority of the slop in the drivetrain is now gone and I LOVE it.

I didn't get much time to drive it around much last night but for the 20 minute drive that I had, I noticed good solid feel, as if you knew that the transmission was bolted up correctly to the frame. You definetly feel the difference in firming up the driveline and add a more crisp and accurate shift with all that rubber junk gone and replaced with the polyurethane bushings and the GroupN mount. The only down side that I can think of is more NVH in the cab. I can only imagine the kind of vibration you would get with the engine mounts. lol. I only feel it at idle though, and its also only when my rad fan goes on. When driving, she feels so connected to the drivetrain. I am VERY pleased with it. But this being my DD, I don't think I would do the Group-N engine mounts.

Also, big thanks to the GF for helping me out last night installing everything. Its awesome having a little mechanics helper when doing jobs like this. First time I have a GF that doesnt mind helping out with my mechanical work. She is awesome. Also, its a lot of fun getting someone else to run around grabbing tools and holding the shop light up.  >:D >:D >:D

Once again, I suck and forgot to bring a camera. This thread is so blah without pics and for that im sorry.

I still have my Kartboy Endlinks (F&R) as well as STi rear sway bar to instal. Maybe Ill get my act together and bring a camera this time. :)

Awesome. Im kind of choked I won't be there to help install all your goodies. But I guess I cant miss my cusins wedding. lol

On a side note, man does it ever feel good to have my car back. Being stuck driving the gf's volvo for 3 weeks was BRUTAL. After only one minute driving my WRX last night, I had a itshay grin on my face from ear to ear.

Thanks energie, but I already picked up Kenny's rear sway bar (which should be a fairly direct swap) off of his 05 STi. I pretty sure the front sways on the sedans dont fit the wagons, not without moding it anyway. Kinda just looking for something cheap to tie me over until next spring when Ill get proper Whitelines or RCE's.

Thanks anyway

shoulda gone with RCE's 25.5's.  I dont regret my expensive decision at all.  best handling mod ive done.  even more so then my ohlins
