I'll be working on a theory of the perfect angle at which one can lean a sled into the snow before it breaks traction on it's side by day, and by night I'll be testing the human body's ability to absorb alcohol and the it's ability to metabolize it fast enough to remain stable enough to walk around a pit of fire whilst I search for the next test specimen.

It'll be that and maybe some sleep deprivation testing.... oh and fire works. Lots of fireworks.

oh... you meant real work. Yea, I gave up on that a few yrs ago. It'll get you no where.

I started back to work today and I wont be off till next Wednesday. I love my job though and it comes with the territiory of working shiftwork for a 24/7/365 operation.

They usually treat us pretty good around holidays though ;) I think they're providing turkey lunch and supper for everyone that has to work on the 25th.

I could take next week off, but will likely work through most of the week since I can bill some real time.  I had a slow month, I had about 40% less billable time which means 40% less pay.  I was still at the office, just playing instead of working.

That is why you don't pick up the phone, call display FTW. Although if work calls me during leave, it usually means Canada is doomed anyways.

The joys of being on call 24/7...I don't answer and all hell breaks loose.  If the rig hands would just stop breaking stuff then I could just surf the net all day haha.

Is this where we brag about how we're so important that we have to work a 22 hour shift on Christmas?  Or that we're so baller that we can take six weeks off without pay and go skiing in Aspen?  Just wondering.
