Merry Christmas to All (Subie Drivers)
« on: December 24, 2010, 11:02:10 AM »
I just want to wish all Subie Drivers a safe and happy holiday season!

Drift wisely. I know I will.

My resolution: to change my insurance from Saskatchewan to Alberta (gulp)

(Does anyone know, how much would it cost me for a 2008 Impreza 2.5l in Alberta? No accidents, mid-30s)

Felis Navidad!

Merry Christmas to all......have a safe and happy holiday...... ;D

For insurance I would guess  in the 800 to 1000 per yr range for full coverage......but thats just a guess

I agree with flex. it also depends where you live. I moved within Calgary and my rates dropped by almost 200 bucks.

For an 08 WRX when I hit 25 i will be looking at just over 1000 ( no claims etc etc.

Wow, Christmas went by so fast, and so fat.

Time to burn off them calories. But before I hit the gym and since there is no Subie dealership within a 5km radius of Lloydminster, is there any local garage that I can go to that knows how to maintain my car? I'm past the drivetrain warranty so it won't matter. I just want someone that I can rely on other than those big chain places with that red triangle thingy.

I've already booked with X-Treme Auto for late Jan to do the auto inspection because they specialize in imports (and saw 1 or 2 WRX's around there). I'm gonna miss my Sask plates. Unless EVERYONE ELSE, SGI has been good to me. I will miss dealing with that crown corp. lol

Honestly, for the majority of the regular maintenance, do it yourself. It's very easy, hardly time consuming, and most of all you know it got done right. Also, you have the pride of knowing that you do your own maintenance.

You are so correct AWD,

If I could take the time out of my busy work and play schedule, then I would take a shot at doing my own oil change. But not at -32 wind chill outside.

I do have access to a garage where I'm renting. Does someone have a Bobcat?
