I know it might be like a little to mainstream  ::) for you guys but is any one going to deadmau5 on dec 29th?

Be sweet to have a pre meet lol
I was going to buy a pair of pre-sale tickets but the online ticketing system was messed up.  Instead of $55/ticket, they became $72/ticket so I decided against it. /cheapstudent.  I'll wait until he returns with someone like Dada Life or Skrillex or Calvin Harris.

On that note, is anybody else shocked that Dada Life is going to Saskabush and not Edmonton or Calgary?  I'm seriously tempted to make the trip out to unleash the uckfaying dada.

A little bit, but not really.

I went to University in Saskatoon. There's a HUGE student market out there, and there are no shows!
Promoter's need to start exploring new venues in Canada.

That being said ... I'd still figure them to come out West a bit more to play Alberta.

They're coming to Edmonton Feb 18 or 19 for that show put on by Boodang, but it's part of a festival.  Conveniently, that's the same day I'm leaving the country.  Just my luck...

On a side note, has anybody seen the EDM lineup at Coachella?  It's absolutely unbelievable!

O ya, Daft Punk would be my number 1, in a very close second Kasakade, and Avicii. Calvin Harris would be awsome to see too! Porter Robinson puts on an unreal show he would be a must see! Great lineup this year. I cant wait to see the lineup for Shambhala this year!

Did anyone go to frequency? I really wanted to go, but funds just weren't there.
I'm dying to see dada life and porter robinson at a huge venue.

Zed's Dead is here Thursday, I work another 50 hours this week though without a day off and tickets are almost $60 each.. wish I was going..

Love this too, similar bass drop to Cinema.

No boonstock - I'm just too old for that.

Currently listening to Styles and Complete, Skrillex, Klapex, Flux Pavillion - a whack of D+B, Deadmau5 and indie rap (Soul Khan, Scroobius Pip, Atmosphere, Grieves, Prof).

Too old for a lineup of Avicii, Afrojack, Chuckie, Knife Party, R3hab, Tommy Trash?  Damn man, it's like you don't like to dance or something  ;)

If you like Grieves, check out Grayskul, Macklemore (and Ryan Lewis), Sage Francis.  The Macklemore & Ryan Lewis VS EP is amazing.

I know I know - I was lamenting my recent 40th birthday. I feel better now.  Thanks for the heads up on Grayskul / Macklemore... Already listen to a little Sage Francis, Brother Ali, Blueprint (amayzzing also).  Will give those new artists a listen.  Avicii and Knife Party alone would be fun. :)

Too old to dance to Avicii, but instead listen to Skrillex? I don't get it...
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.
If you're having forum problems, I feel bad for you son, I got 99 problems but your post ain't one.

Well, here's my plan for the weekend:

Friday:  R3hab 8-915, Knife Party 10:30-12, Wright & Wong (local DJs) 12-1, Afrojack 1-3
Saturday: Luke Morrison 430-530, David Stone 530-630, Sofi 845-915 Tommy Trash 915-1045, Fareoh 1215-1, Kaskade 1-3
Sunday: Nothing really until 11.. Might see Gob just for itshays and giggles.  Chuckie 11-12:30, Avicii tour support 12:30-1, Avicii 1-3

Wright & Wong are really uckfaying good.  Mikey Wong is the house DJ at Twist on Saturdays and always has a fantastic set list.  David Stone has a show on Saturday evenings on CJSR which is usually a solid hour of lesser known stuff.

Tommy Trash was probably the best set there, but Chuckie is the best DJ I have ever seen.  So much crowd interaction and played for an extra 45 minutes.  I was absolutely exhausted for Avicii but it was worth it.
