Reminder: Clean your CAI (dryflow or otherwise)
« on: March 19, 2011, 06:47:42 pm »
While I was under the car doing other things, I fingered I'd take a look see at the intake.

After cleaning in the sink (dryflow is awesome that way, just clean with soap and water, then air dry) the water was black.
Most of the bad stuff went down the drain, but this was left in the corner.

So, just a heads up to those that care...
You should regularly clean the damn thing. Don't forget it exists just cause it is unseen in the fender.
(This goes for the K&N folks too)

Still needs to be cleaned.

Not when your Warm Air Intake sucks in clean, hot, pre-filtered air from the engine bay.

Looks like a neglected CAI (cabin air filter).  You just added power for the cost of the water  O0
