Thought I'd get started on this build thread since summer is coming and I'm getting going on this pretty quick.
Went to Calgary Subaru on Feb 28th to go and place an order on an STi Sedan Sport Tech package in the sedan form. The debate on whether I was going to get the sedan or the hatch took me a few months before I made up my mind. I decided since the sedan was new for the STi for 2011, I was going to take a shot at it and make it into something that's (hopefully) unique and different.
I walked in, and low and behold, the salesman said that he had exactly what I wanted in stock because another individual had ordered it and the deal fell through because he was not able to put cash forward when he needed to. I sat down with him, quickly made the deal and got delivery of the car within a week.
Before I jump into details about the STi, I'll just quickly introduce my previous ride.
It was a 2006 Honda Civic Coupe. I went through 5 good years with it with tons of different transformations until I got to this point (pics posted) and felt that it was finished and there was really nothing else I could do with it. I tracked the car for the last 2 years and loved every minute of it. I guess I've gotten to the point where I just want more power and more options to tune with.

Pics of the beast a few days after I took it home. The first thing I did when I took it home was take off the dealer badge, the "SUBARU IMPREZA AWD" badges and left the STI to keep it subtle and clean.
Already on order before I had the car was Nokya 3000k DRL bulbs again. I found that they were one of my most favourite little cheap mods that I had on the civic that I wanted again for the Subie. Those went in right away as well. (Sorry no current pics of those).. I'll get some.
A few weeks later, I was looking into my wheel options. Fadi over at Tunerworks was able to grab one of my wheel options to test fit for inner suspension clearance, fender clearance and BBK clearance. Unfortunately, they only had that one wheel so I was unable to get those... Here are some pics.
The specs are 18x10 +18. This was the ideal size that I wanted to do, but I have found another set of wheels that is a little more conservative at 18x9.5 +20, but still considered quite aggressive from all the research that I've done for the GR's.
I want to also give a shoutout to Aldrich for pointing me in the direction of Brennan (BetaCuts) that quickly shipped out a set of WSC stickers to rep. And of course, also reppin' our illmotion glow-in-the-dark decal on my rear window. Sorry for the dirty pics.
If you see me be sure to wave! I'll wave back! I'm pretty friendly haha
So far, that's all I've got since waiting for parts is painstakingly long. I have BC racing coilovers on the way that should be here in a few weeks from Cam over at LightSpeed in Red Deer so once those come in, I'm slapping them on ASAP and will have more updates as well. I will try to keep this updated as much as possible.EDIT April 7, 2011
