pretty darn good tire/rim size calculator
« on: May 22, 2011, 11:07:16 pm »
http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp

since there's been a lot of 'will these tires fit' etc threads with summer mods being done, i figured i'd share this little gem of a website that really gets more in depth than most tire calculators i've seen.

gives you a cross section to compare offsets, rim widths, yadda yadda

put stock specs in the left set of drop downs, and new wheel/tire specs in the right set

will even tell you at the bottom what dimensions change when the new rim/tire is on the car (how much suspension/fender clearance will change etc)

lots of info

I have used this in the past.  Completely forgot about it.  Nice find!

Great find. Definitely worth a sticky. No more need for will this fit threads.
This car is more fun than the entire French air force crashing into a firework factory.

Fine. Post stuff here that you can easily find on google.
This means if there are ANY more "what tires should I use" threads, the OPs will be promptly punched in the dick.

Bolt pattern cross reference (yes, wheels from other cars WILL fit your precious unique only-one-in-the-entire-world subaru)
http://www.roadkillcustoms.com/hot-rods-rat-rods/Wheel-Bolt-Pattern-Cross-Reference-Database.asp

Basic wheel and tire fitment info (and some leggy specific stuff)
http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/faq-offsets-sizes-rims-and-tires-gt-xenonk-version-4426.html?t=4426

Another tire size calculator that's been suggested 8,472 times
http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

This one will give you options on equivalent tire sizes (like say "here's my stock 16" size, what size can I use on my 19" chromers?")
Specify your stock size, then tell it your new size and how much larger/smaller you're willing to take.

Thanks snackers: anything that helps the n00bs who can't search wsc or teh googles, that *might* (we can hope, right?) reduce the number of repeat "Halp! Which rims/tires fit, yo?" threads is worth a shot!
