haha thanks Jessica, Ill do my best. I just keep finding excuses to sell some parts and buy new ones lol. I should have a parts shipment in by the end of next week, but nothing that jumps the project ahead by much just replacement parts, control arms/gaskets/plugs stuff like that lol

hey everyone, little update. I received my MSI control arms last week and the quality is amazing the powder coating is some of the best I have ever seen. I have not put them on yet as I have another part that is being built right now that I need to install first. so for now here are some pics of the MSI Control arms

Wow, those are really nicely made. I always gawk at the MSI stuff when I see it for sale but neither of my cars are enough of a serious race car to justify it.

Whats the point of those arms?  Different geometry? Bling?

just curious.
I used to drive Subaru's.

they add 1.5 deg caster over stock GD STi control arms, they arm much stronger, they also don't have rubber bushings just a bearing and spacers to fit into the OE frame or engine craddle mounts how ever you call it (the same place the stock ones go). And yes they add some bling lol.

Well today I went to see my lovely car and get some work done, I was super sick from Wednesday till today. I started by running the tubing for the windshield washer fluid container from the trunk, it took me forever to find the proper tubing size and length and its clear so it will look kinda cool lol. Next I carried on with the PS res install which I totally failed at as the return line hose is a tad to small for me to get over the nub on the res, so I will have to attack that next time I go work on the car. I had to drop the front subframe so I could install the new MSI Control arms, most of this went smooth only issue I had was one of the bolts was completely stripped which I didn't notice until now :(.

so after all that was completed or somewhat completed I went down to Greg's distributor and bought some new bolts and a M12 1.25 tap for one of my subframe mounts.

on a side not, I had the tire taken off the rim I some how cracked last season, I have been in contact with CCW and they are working with me to replace it either free (pay for shipping) or for just a materials + shipping. They say they have only had 1 other set of rims crack like mine and it was on a Porsche and he was doing donuts and hit something.

the Alcon's are over kill, but my stock bremebo's were not serviced by the last owner so when I went to rebuild them I ended up snapping all the bleeder valves off and we tried to recover them but it just turned into a big mess. So I was going to go with sleepers set but i still needed rears and the GF was nice enough to buy these while I was gone...i received the bill promptly when I got home tho haha and they were not cheap.

The control arms still make me smile when I see the finish.

Well after spending about 6 weeks in lovely Wainwright and doing some good old army training by day and night I was able to come home and see all my lovely car parts that have come over the last little while. I spent Friday with the GF as she made it pretty clear if i didn't there would be issues lol so, on Saturday I spent from noon until 4 working on the car installing a few things and prepping for some other parts.

I was able to install the new Okada Projects coil-packs and their Plasma Spark kit, quality of the products were great and I cant see anything wrong with them. I know people will ask why bother, well a member wanted to do a coilpack conversion so I figured why not sell mine and try these out that is my reason pretty damn simple.

I was also able to install my headers and see how the turbo will actually sit and I may or may not have a problem with IC pipping the way I wanted to which was under the manifold, when the actual turbo shows up (next week) ill have a better idea of how I am going to do this, as I just have the hot side so I can only kinda guess for now.

I was also able to install the Beatrush Rear Bulkhead divider which allowed me to re-install my spec c tank for my Aquamist system, also in side the cabin i was able to install the harness bar and harnesses (Ambystom01 i know its not the solution you'd like to see but a cage is in the works i just need an intern solution)

a few bling Items are installed forge power steering res and upper coolant tank.

I had a conversation with CCW today and they are building a new rim for me and will have it shipped for 1/2 the price of a new one and once they receive my old rim they may refund me some money depending how they think the crack came to be. I think they just want to make sure i wasn't stunting and hit a curb which it is pretty clear i was a rock or something.

as for the carbon fiber roof from MSI that will be installed once I have the car up and running and Kenny is free to help me out.

You should wait till your cage is in to do the carbon roof. Who is doing you cage? What kind of design are you using? I am thinking of a full cage from dsc race cars in didsbury. Just submitted my design to them for pricing yesterday.

I am not sure who I will have build the cage yet as I'm still pretty deep into the build, the CF roof will more then likely have to wait until I come back from NB (yay army going for 9 weeks) so really I may just wait until next summer depending on my work load when I get back.

The turbo is now here along with the tial mv-r ewg and bov, all the fittings and gaskets. Now time to figure out my IC piping route as I'm not sure if my original plan is going to work, I may even go TMIC who knows.... Well I will by monday evening lol. Picking up a rad on friday and sending some stuff out for welding.

Tune is Booked for the 15th with Sunny

I was thinking of the carbon fibre roof as well. Since they will have to remove the roof to finish the top welds. I'm doing the chassis now first before the motor and trans. So I can paint it as a bare chassis

Well today I went hard to work on the car and was able to sort out a lot of things. I was able to get the turbo in and all the parts that attach, also I was able to get the rad in with fans. Also I found out I can use my fmic and route the piping the way I wanted to it just going to be tight.
