I'd be down for one of these.. Preferably with WSC at the bottom.

I'd buy a couple.
To me the one with WSC on the bottom is more appealing.
Raised letters for sure, and possibly contoured to the "WSC" part. Not sure if thats too complicated.

So like this?

I was thinking the same thing.

I keep refining the design, not sure why I'm sure I'll get a proof when I find a company to make them. I've contacted two different companies and am awaiting a response from them. Here's what I think it'll probably look like in the end.

I'm going to add a poll to try and get some preliminary interest numbers.

Not sure if I like the letters sticking up from the bottom.
What about leaving it black on top, and having the WSC smaller, and the westernsubaruclub.com underneath, as a single image?

Kind of like this: (stolen from Betacuts thread)
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.

I could try that, but to re-size it without distorting it'd either cut off the letters of the plate or be quite small.

I'll play with it a bit and see what I can come up with.

Here's what I came up with:

and this one to keep it all on the bottom without sacrificing size or readability too much

Let me know what you guys think

Here's a quick concept sketch I drew up in paint

I'm in. White would be another colour option for the lettering.

I'd definitely put one on my car but I have a tendency to drive like a jerk and I don't want to bring any bad mojo to the club

So this is me saying I'm will support the club by not supporting the club.  ???

Absolutely. Once the cost is covered everything will be donated back to the club.

Got a proof back from one company. Looks good, but their pricing is kinda high in comparison to another company that I've contacted.

Total would come to $562.50 plus shipping and taxes. It would be near the $600 mark all in. That means I'd have to sell near the $10 mark to make back the initial cost in a timely manner. I was hoping to have that down around the $5 mark to make them more affordable for everyone. I'll attach the proof so everyone can see what they came up with. I'm waiting on a quote from another company down in Florida that has lower prices, so I'll see when I get that which I should go with.

That looks good to me and $10 is also good. Why red though? Is that the official club colour?

Cherry blossom red. The colour of STi!

I am kind of debating one of these but would need the thicker part to be on top to be "legal" for BC.  Our reg tags site bottom center.

I would totally rock one of these. I have been meaning to remove my centaur one, because I hate them. I was going to just go with a tunerworks one when I buy my AP but this would suffice nicely. I will keep checking back to see if this goes through! Oh, I liked the initial sketch btw. The bottom heavy one

I'd easily pay $10 for one, since that's the going rate for a blank plastic frame at Crappy Tire.  (I know this because I'm currently running frameless, and it bugs me)

WSC License Plate Frame - NEW POLL
« Reply #48 on: June 01, 2011, 03:19:03 PM »
I've sent out emails inquiring about getting 2 different colours made and still being able to fulfill one minimum order of 250. I don't think that we will need more than 250 frames even if we have a 50/50 split of CBR and White. The results of my findings will be posted as soon as I know. Also I have asked about getting a 2 holed frame made with a "drill here" indent for the bottom two holes since GR's have 4 mounting holes and GD's have 2 mounting holes. Both companies are running on eastern time, so I don't expect a reply until tomorrow.

Adding a new poll for colour preference.

Sorry about "excluding" you from being able to buy one of these. I initially considered doing one that would be BC friendly as well, but everyone who has responded prefers the "bottom heavy" graphics design. You can always put one on your front plate since you don't have registration stickers on that one. Or get one to hang on the wall in the garage to show your support.

Most of the BC friendly designs I've found are not Alberta friendly, unless you go with just a slimline frame which won't have very much for graphics/writing.
