Yeah I want to get out more this year for sure but I don't really have anyone to go with, tried to go with my brother but he's a smoker and he gets wheezy and tired. Then he blew his shoulder out on a green run on the first day we went to lake louise  :sarcasm:

I am pretty excited too.  After 4 summits, 25 days of single pitch climbing, and billions of mosquito bites, summer is ending at the perfect time.

Sunshine got snow last night  ;D

I've had a great summer too. Some good back packing, a few good camping trips, a few summits, and some fun weddings.

I was looking through the "Art of Flight" tour and they are not showing in Calgary... so I've pre-ordered the movie and will probably have a showing (like 10 people max!) at my place if anyone is interested in getting amped up for the coming season.

I am getting pumped for the season. I have got a new (well old model) Nitro Supernatural on the way, picked up some new pants. And now a trip booked for Marmot opening in November and working on a cat for March. Gonna be an awesome season.

Calgary folk, i am down for Fridays and Sundays

Woot!! Can't wait for ski season, but might be hard to get out more this year with a 7 month old baby this season.  Oh well, I'll take what I can get...hope that they are great snow days!  ;D

Just a little FYI for those of you that love skiing at Fernie. They have built a new lift that will access 20 new runs. It should be open around christmas. http://skifernie.com/polarpeak

For anyone interested "The Art of Flight" is available on iTunes today. It should be ready by the time I get home from work :D

That new lift at Fernie looks like it gives access to some fun terrain. Will probably have to take a trip down there this year.

There be snow in them hills...

Does anyone know if the 2004 Impreza fit kit will fit on the 93 Impreza?

Also anyone have hook ups at ski shops in Calgary? I need a new Jacket
Mitch's car runs on unicorn blood, its rubber is sourced from the hooves of pegasus', and it drives on rainbows and dreams.
It uses infi-boost, smells like Japan, and is fast as tits.

Could try The Source wharehouse on 12 Ave and 14 Street. Last weekend was supposed to be their last, but they may be open still (they extended hours last year). 50% off all outerwear! You'd be hard pressed to find a better deal in Calgary.

I downloaded The Art of Flight last week. I've watched it a handful of times already. The riding is inspiring, the soundtrack motivating, and the cinematography is captivating. Best snowboard movie ever.

I've also updated the first post. I want to add as much useful info as possible. Send me a pm if there is anything you want to have added. I don't want to clutter this thread with a bunch of random links.

Thanks!

Do y'all know about some of the changes within 3 hours of Calgary?

1. Fernie's building a chair to the to of Cedar bowl.
2. Kicking Horse put in a cat track on top of the ridge off Stairway.

I'm looking forward to getting back out as a beginner boarder (again).
You aren't mistaken; this post was solid gold.
