You find it that heavy? Doesn't seem bad to me, but I don't have it on the car yet so maybe after lifting it a few times to do work I'll notice.

Not too worried about the weight gained from my stock hood, the aesthetics make it worth it and I don't think its going to be a huge difference in power.

I don't find it THAT heavy, but it sure is very noticeable once mounted. And yes, the aesthetics are hugely worth it. I find myself staring at the car an unhealthy amount since I did the update  :P.

Ah okay, stock one is insanely light so I guess I can stop being spoiled with a light hood.

Damn, I already stare at her too much, looks like a bigger part of my day will be lost to that now

Just took a pic with the USDM badge from my facelift grill attached, plus testing out a new camera ;)

Probably -20 HP with the USDM one on though :(

So got my facelift hood and grille painted this weekend, damn I can't wait to get this on the car :D (just waiting for kouki lights, should arrive tomorrow).

Previous condition, including deep dents, rust, and scratches:

Newly painted with my car's stock color, 416 dark blue mica pearl

Attached my JDM badge to the new grille

I'll post up pics once I get the new lights in and get everything installed.

Oh and a big shout out to Northern Collision Repair in Edmonton, they did this fine work on a Saturday for me, call em up for any autobody needs you may have.

And for approximately 400 bucks off the price of a legit aluminum one.... It's kinda worth it!

Wow aluminum ones must be pricey, this one was like 500 for hood and grill including painting :P

Cheapest aluminum I found online was 250 on ebay plus 250 shipping from Malaysia, and it needed rock chip repair and paint.

Locally-ish (jdmplace) the best was 500 shipped, but that would also need paint.

On another note, I feel like I'm posting in here almost as much as you...  :-\

Haha I don't mind the posts :D

In other news... uckfay canada post. Kouki lights were supposed to be here on tuesday, got "transferred" to a new address for my house (my rural address just got changed to a residential type) even though its the same house to deliver to. So now they're sitting in a depot, somewhere, to be delivered, sometime, depending if they can find my house with the new address, that THEY sent me, which now I think they made a mistake on so all my CC, bank addresses, etc. are all wrong...

/end rant

So... Done the facelift ;)

And for fun, I measured the weight difference of the steel vs. aluminum hood. Only 10 lbs heavier :D

I've wanted the facelift for a long time now, and couldn't be happier with the finished product, car looks so much more modern
