Thanks Kevin.

I guess you never did get to see it back in Lethbridge. Gotta say it looks way better now than with the Goldies..

Did you buy your current wheels from thestig here in Saskatoon? They look like the ones he was selling a while ago.

I picked them up down in Lethbridge off    RhinestoneChow.. He was unloading some things from his Bugeye, and it looks like he upgraded to a '09 STI.

Bringing this thread back from the grave.

Modding has been dormant since the end of last year, but I am finished with school for a while so we'll see how much I can get done on the WRX. I have added a few things here and there, but nothing major other than the timing belt service.. Thank God for tax returns!

Reppin' WSC from Lethbridge to Peace River!

Got these as a Birthday gift from my girlfriend.
Hella Supertones:

Kartboy shift knob:

Also just finished installing a Prosport Halo Series boost guage. Pics to follow shortly...

So uhhh... You know you have a change thing to the left of the steering wheel.. right?
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.

Oh is that what its for?? (yes I know, I let it get disgustingly cluttered while going to school)

I have since cleaned the interior.
As for the change holder, it is currently resting in my center console on account that it won't close because of the fuse taps I used during the install of the boost guage..

Time to post up some pics of the latest installment.

I sourced info from this thread: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2182561
For ease of installment I decided to mount the gauge to the A-pillar.

Plumbing the line:

Found a grommet:

Fuse-taps in place:

Mounting and wiring the gauge:

Final product:

Overall I am very happy with the product. The only thing I notice now is that I'm not reaching full boost (9 psi?),  and will have to look into that issue.

This install has provoked the mod bug and I can't wait to dive into the next project.

I recently finalized a suspension and brake package with Dales that should be arriving any day now.
I'll be going with KYB Excel G struts, RCE Black springs, DBA T2 Slotted rotors, and equivalent to "Hawk HPS" pads.. I'm drawing a blank on the brand, but 70+ hr work weeks will do that to you.
Along with this I will be adding the Paranoid Fabrications "saggy butt" spacers to help even out the look of the car.

Got the all the fluids in to flush the transmission, brakes, and rear diff.
Picked up the paranoid fabrications rear spacers for the suspension install.

Sadly I haven't been able to source a rental spring compressor up here, so I might have to take them in to switch the top hats over.

Could I simply remove the top nut while the car is on the ground and let the springs decompress when the car is lifted?

U only need the spring compressors for the fronts
The rears you can just loosen the nut

Hey man

you mentioned about saggy butt spacers to even up the car, I take it the rear is sitting lower than the front?
Could you take a before and after picture? I may just need to do the same thing

:)

What springs are you running?

I'll be switching from stock to RCE Blacks with 3/8" spacer.

So I should have the shop just switch over the front top hat once they are out? I hate taking things to the shops here, they are careless.

Yes just take the fronts in if u can't find some compressors
Can tire rents them out and sells them

I've checked with the Can Tire up here, but they carry limited inventory and only have a spring compressor that is internally compressed. Don't think it will work with the strut being in the same space..

It won't. Ratchet straps or zip ties are the general redneck workaround.
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.

Didn't think of ratchet straps.. Will try that before admitting defeat and taking them to the shop.
