Picked up my season pass for Apex yesterday... oh man, so stoked! Not the biggest mountain in the world, but it's only a 30 minute drive from my front door and actually has really good terrain. Plus, I never realized that having a season pass gets you discounts at pretty much every other resort in Canada, which is super rad!

Loads of mountains have reciprocal agreements with other mountains for varying discounts. I once bought a season pass at hemlock, snowboarded there once and used it at other mountains for discounts. It still payed for itself in just the discounts!

meanwhile, this was the scene from Nelson looking at kokanee glacier park at 10:28 am.

Have any of the skiers on here checked out the 2013 Salomon BBR 10s? Just a fatter version of the 8.9, but wow are they different looking. I hear they absolutely rip and are the ulltimate for a one-ski quiver. They have a 145mm head with a 100mm waist and apparently carve excellent.
No, Bubba, it doesn't have a Hemi.

Testing out the new GoPro Hero3 Silver edition as well as my Burton Nug and X-Base bindings. I must say the board/binding combo is a riot in the deep stuff.

Went out to Sunshine over the weekend.... Umm, yeah. Only one lift was down, can't remember the name, and everything else was up and going, except the ski-down. Lake Louise on the other hand, heard that there was quite a few patches of grass and rocks exposed.

I went from falling while not moving to falling only while moving, a good improvement over the course of the weekend, I'd say.

Why is the picture quality so poor?
Looks like some nice snow wherever that is.

The Nugs are awesome! So much pop and easy butters  >:D  Not so great in the powder IMO.

Apex Resort. Involved a bit of hiking, but clearly worth it!

Looks great full screen at 720p on YouTube :)
I thought the Nug was awesome in powder. Floats really well and was really responsive. I have the stance centered and didn't have to lean back at all, you could just charge! It was hilariously good fun.

Cool tools  ;D
I'll try adjusting my stance a little.
I think it's just the natural lighting, cloudy day + snow.

Any Art of Flight fans on here?

Netflix has "The Art of Flight: The Series", a seven episode show that goes deep into the making of the film and has some great riding.

Is that a chest mounted cam? I'm impressed at how forward it's always facing. Even better than I thought. Probably way better than helmet mount.

That was definitely helmet mounted. I have a pole mount a well but the camera died just before lunch (didn't turn it off all morning) so I never got a chance to film in the afternoon, which is really too bad since it was some of the days best riding.

Went to Whitefish sat/sun of this weekend and had a blast. First time I've been there, it was pretty cool. A little flat on the back in some parts but you just need to keep your speed up.

Hitting Fernie sunday and hopefully Castle next weekend.

Riding a Burton Custom X 164 wide with Burton Cartel ICS bindings.
