Need your help for TMIC stencil measurement
« on: September 06, 2012, 03:54:01 PM »
Anyone have a factory IC with the STI on it?

I'm going to be making stencils so that you guys and gals can paint them.

I need the height and width of the original painted one.

Thanks

6 inch 9/16 for the width
18 inch 7/16 for length
For the rectangular opening of the top mount.
Both measurements are allowing a 1/16 inch clearance For the stencil to drop in.

The Sti logo is 9 inch 3/4 wide at the bottom and 3 inch 5/8 tall

Hope this is what you needed.

I still have the OEM intercooler with STi logo if you want to check it out.
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.
If you're having forum problems, I feel bad for you son, I got 99 problems but your post ain't one.

There are lots of threads like this over there. Some of them probably even give you exact letter width and spacing too.

Damn you're good, thanks for posting this.

Anyways, I'll be selling stencils for $15 shipped or $13 picked up.
It will use paint mask vinyl which is lower tack and removeable once the painting has been done.

Unfortunately not re-useable, unless you're careful and can place the vinyl back onto the paper it came on without tearing things.
