Woah!.  That's not the beer I got for day six!  I got another Austrian beer,  but didn't catch the name as I was bolting out the door.I am positive it was not the Ugly Duck though.

It's the same beer I got then.  Mac Queen's Nessie - Malt Whisky Red Beer.

I was worried there for a second that it was supposed to be an IPA.  I'm a whisky fan, so this one I am stoked about.

The hell?  Did I open the wrong door?  >_<

I blame carguyjon.

edit:

itshay, looking at the pic I took of the whole calendar & remembering which door I opened I think I opened one of the _neighbours_ to 6.  I won't say anymore so as not to ruin the surprise.

double edit:

I got home, this is seriously the beer that came out've "Door #6" for me...

Camera angles to hide what _is_ in it to avoid criticisms... And a pressing need to go grocery shopping.

I think Sherbrooke carries it.  The beer was good, 2nd fav so far.  Not nearly as peaty as I figured it would be.

The Golser Weissbier was a good, if unsurprising wheat bear.

The Hopfest IPA was pretty good, I found it tastey & very drinkable unlike most IPA I run into...

So today's Ratsherrn Premium.

That's just a crisp European lager...  Anyone have any other notes?

I'd say a slight sweet maltiness taste.  It's mostly just a really crisp and refreshing beer.  Borderline "boring" in flavor but I'd love to drink it all night!  Better than amstel or heineken.

Boring is right.  I have been getting more used to darker German beers.  (Erdinger Donkle comes to mind)  It is crisp and clean,  and refreshing,  but tastes like every other run of the mill Heineken.

Today's is Hubertus Festbock.  It looks to be very light in colour for such a strong beer @ 7.2%.  I'll be catching up now as a reward for cleaning all the carpets today.

Ditto, it doesn't help with their wonderful use of adjectives that make me thirsty just reading the descriptions.

Frastanzer s'honig is today's beer.  As alluded to by the honeycomb pattern on the label,  this is a _very_ sweet beer.  For my tastes it is not such a hit. I find the sweetness a little overpowering,  but it has a hop' finish.

I'm hoping to find a little more on the darker side of things,  but I am enjoying that I get to experience these beers that I may otherwise wouldn't have experienced.

Today's beer I'd say is similar to Sleeman's Honey Brown Lager, smoother, and way sweeter.  If only the sweetness was toned down a bit it could be a good beer.  My wife enjoyed it though.

I'd say we're due for another dark beer soon.

Well, no dark beer for today.  My calendar had a Schleppe in it.  Anyone else get the same beer?

Because aside from the one day,  it would all be pictures of the same beer of course.
