I'm in.

So, thoughts on having separate "2014 Craft Beer Calendar daily beer discussion thread" and "2014 Philips Snowcase discussion thread"?

Probably would be a good idea.

Red Racer and Parallel 49 are teaming up to do one too. I just don't know if I want the Phillip's one or Red Racer/Parallel 49 one.

Pick up the Red Racer pack last night at Co-op on MacLeod south of Chinook to add to the Craft advent calendar.  I told my wife when I got home that I got her an advent calendar, but it is ok, I would drink it.  , I had to resist also buying the Snowcase.  If anyone is still looking for these the Co-op I got this from had about 10 cases of each of the advent calendars left.  They are just outside the beer cooler stacked up.

Co-op in Calgary, I've seen them at other co-op's too.

Edit: I got mine at the same place as Cagare, they had several left.

So excited, going to be odd to going from next to no beer in the past several months to two beers every day.  I have started having a beer every few days to get myself primed.

Well it's day two and I am already looking at four beers to catch up tonight.  :-\  I don't think this will go well fo all my work and training to change my shape.

The Craft beer calendar has to have special permits to import some, if not all these beers.

Well, I think I'll pass on the Phillips Snowcase from now on... But I'll definitely recommend it to/for people who don't know the Phillip's brewery front to back.

I'll certainly think about getting the Craft Beer advent calendar again... But not through Sherbrooke.

Agreed about the Phillips calendar.  I enjoyed it but too many repeats. Sherbrooke is expensive!  I wanted their 12 days of beermas but not for the $85 for it.

I'm kind of bummed about this years calendar. I found a lot of the beers were just meh, with a few duds nearing the end. I also started to get really tired of having so many beers in the 7%+ range. I'm not sure that I will be doing this again next year. Or will perhaps consider the Phillips or Red Racer.

Sherbrooke is expensive!

It wasn't the expense... It was how they handle communication for the pre-order.

The calendar ended up being like $30 cheaper at Sobeys...  Even the Phillips one was about $30 cheaper there.

Next year I'm going with Sobeys.

I was not aware of that, the price was now an issue.
