It's light... Doesn't have any strong flavour profile or aftertaste.

Is it a bad thing that it reminds me of PBR?

Only if it makes you admit in non-hipster company that PBR is okay beer...

Today's beer is the Hopfest IPA you got on Dec. 6.  Hopefully you get that Mac Queen's beer today.

I was just coming here to post what I found behind door #11, and to posit a guess what you guys would be finding behind it... But I see you beat me to it. ;)

Awesome!  Craft Beer's facebook page has been getting it's fair share of complaints regarding incorrect beers.  Glad to see it's only an order thing and not missing a beer.

So, today's Hopfest IPA isn't your standard IPA. It's bitter and it has a grapefruit/citrus taste to it.  It's good but not my top 5 so far.

How's your beer Grant?

How's your beer Grant?

Due to schedules, I didn't get around to it.

Here's today's beer next to it:

Italian Golden Ale...

Cool, I got the same Birrificio Del Ducato Golden ale.  From what I've heard about it, it's a pretty well rated beer.  Can't wait!

Edit:  Well I opened it up and attempted to pour it.  That sucker has head that goes on for days!  Slight citrus taste that is overpowered by a floral smell and taste.  Not really for me.

Today's beer:

Donder en Bliksem (thunder and lighting) from De Molen.

MacQueens, very good!  Tasty, red, pleasant.

This Italian Golden Ale has enough carbonation for 3 beers, and I might've gotten even more head than Hound...  Not bad though.

Jeebus, this beer pours even worse than "yesterdays".

Mostly head, astringent, unpleasant?  <--- It's a short review but true.

I was able to pour yesterdays beer in 1 shot, even almost achieved a perfect 2 fingers of head. The previous beer I couldn't.

I found yesterday's beer unpleasant as well.  Mine had an overwhelming skunk smell and taste typically associated with beers that have been exposed to UV light and aren't fresh.  It was quite bitter but tasted like a Czech pilsner to me (Urquell comes to mind).

I feel like picking up some Steamwhistle now  :-\

It really ruined the beer for me.  I don't mind a bit of skunk smell/taste, it sometimes adds to a beer.

Seriously though, the second half of this calendar better knock it out've the park...  There's only so many unfiltered, unpasturized wheat beers I feel like having.  _Especially_ in the cold of winter.

Well, you better brace yourself for today's beer.  The Hofstetten Kubelbier is an unfiltered and unpasturized beer.
