I vote Red Deer. Located roughly 1/2 between Calgary/Edmonton. Past that (parks, eateries, etc), I don't care.
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.
If you're having forum problems, I feel bad for you son, I got 99 problems but your post ain't one.

Red Deer is a great location for this type of thing.

(as long as Audi's are welcome - I'll cruise in the back I promise!)

Go home Subaru. You're drunk.

No poll. Everytime one is made, there are 10 billion opinions and then plans fall apart.

I like the sounds of red deer.  Great mid point! We should see if we can contact someone about a parking lot and when we secure that inform the police of our gathering (depending on where it is) just for due diligence. Anyone know red deer enough to make a couple calls for good locations?

I'm definitely in. OP, pick a place and time like Chance said, put it in big red letters, and don't change it. Otherwise we'll never have a solid plan.

I would suggest like a Saturday afternoon and then maybe supper somewhere after depending how big the group is.

Could use the parking lot were the Rebels play? Contact the arena & see what Saturday they have nothing going on and ask if we could use it.

The Westerner grounds isn't really an option anymore as they now have it all gated up and use it just for functions. Unless someone can sweet talk their management I don't see that happening.

Haha this could be considered a function.  Depends if they want to charge us for rental or not...  Start making suggestions on places guys and ill call around and see what dates are available. Ill do a little research my self as well.

Not particularly trying to steal the thread,  i just never see anything get done in some of these topics with epic potential!!!  Any help is appreciated!

But we could try to meet at Scott Subaru since they are a vendor for WSC and maybe we could get some subie swag from them.

This might be a good idea..someone should approach them about it..
Good PR for them, get a local paper involved or even Six Star Magazine...Toronto Subaru Club had them show up for their super meet..did an article and all

Plus the swag!

Does scott subaru have a parking lot we could use? Not sure what im contacting them about.  Im also going to give vex a call and coordinate with them a bit to make sure the super meets are at least a month apart,  id hate to interfere with theirs and vice versa.

Scott Subaru doesn't really have much. They got their car lot and that is it.
We could also maybe coordinate a cruise out to sylvan lake. A busy place like that wont have enough group parking near the beach, but a cruise on the highway and down the beach road will turn a bunch of heads.

Alright so I called Vex to see when their meet was going to be and apparently they weren't actually planning to have one this year because they may be moving into a bigger shop at some point and it takes up a good amount of time. Basically, Ryan at Vex offered to host the event (like last year) if I organized it. I personally have no issue with this but I know everyone (myself included) kindof agreed on it being in Red Deer but the fact that they are willing to host makes things very easy for organization... let me know what you guys think. Honestly I think this is an awesome option.
