I need a serial number please
« on: March 27, 2013, 01:34:16 pm »
Hey all, trying to reseal my injectors on the Legacy, and I was only able to get a part number for one of three seals off of opposedforces.com. Of course, I can't supply the dealer with a vehicle S/N because this engine doesn't belong in my Legacy. Soooo, could someone with a N/A 2.5l that is around 2004-2006 vintage let me use your serial number so I can get the correct seals?

Thanks muchly.

If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.

Seal-fuel injector

This is 05-07 2.5i

Yeah I have that one. There are 2 more that don't come up at all. Sounds like the dealer can only get them if you buy a GD injector. FTN I say. My parts guy is trying to source some aftermarket ones. Thanks though man.

Are you talking about the o-rings? I'm not sure how the 2.5i would differ from the turbo GD's (other than injector size)

Not sure, and I don't have the time to be back and forthing with wrong parts as this is my DD.

If someone had some old ones I could see to compare, that might be the way if the parts dude strikes out.

It probably won't help, but I have some injectors from an ej205 2002 wrx

Can you take a picture and some rough measures of the orings for me? I could get lucky and find they are the same.

Damnit I knew I forgot something at work. I will get some pictures on Monday. One of my friends friend might be able to get a hand on some o rings. I will try and get you his number. He did a sonic cleaning on my injectors and replaced all orings

Well I'm pretty useless. The injectors don't have any o rings. Sorry

Crapola. I think I'm just going to get a set for a turbo model and see if they're the same.

Thanks Jessy  :)
