They're going to park their car over there. You're going to park your car over here. Get it?

Some good news!!!

I went to the dealership yesterday, and left with a deposit down for a SWP 2014 Forester XT (Limited trim) 8). Since they don't have any stock I'll be notified on Monday, they'll have to get one from another dealership and depending how far away it is it could be 1-2 weeks.

I'm pretty excited! Will post pics when she gets here :)

Will do!! Kinda sucks that I'll have to drive it comin off and out of winter (rock chips and pot holes) but I'll be sure give my first impressions when I can

???

Not the video I was expecting

Hah yeah I decided not to post it since my friend had the video, with my terrible donut skills, but it was fun none the less.

Congrats!!

Thanks!! I'll be sure to compare it with yours!

Haha I was actually willing to go to Scott's to buy but they told me that they are only taking pre order for the 2015 ATM and that all 2014 were pre sold

Make sure that they get it trailered to the dealership and NOT have someone drive it there or drive to pick it up. Usually that trip involves the car going through some not so nice break in period...

As for plans regarding the car, I'm going to start saving for when the engine blows up.

Oh yeah for sure!! He told me that they'll have it brought to the dealership on a truck.

Grats man!  Hopefully you got a killer deal on one.

The CVT is better than the CVT they put in the Impreza and better than the 4 speed auto in the previous Foresters.  In sport sharp it shifts surprisingly quick and that engine sure has punch (and turbo whine).

I think he sold the STI to Jonny. I think.
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.
If you're having forum problems, I feel bad for you son, I got 99 problems but your post ain't one.

Cool. I test drove the Forester NA yesterday. Gonna go back and test drive the XT as I did NOT like the NA. It simply did not have enough power for my liking. And I didn't really liked the CVT. Maybe the added power and slightly tougher CVT in the XT will win me over.
I also test drove the Mazda CX-5 AWD and really liked it. I know I know, not subaru. But seriosuly, I really liekd it.
If I were to pick between the Forester NA and the CX-5, I would pick the CX-5 in a heart beat.
But maybe the XT will sway me.

How did you find the CVT on the XT when you test drove it?

I have never drove a vehicle with CVT before, but when I took it out for a drive I though it was really smooth and gear changes were flawless. However I've been reading that it's quite noisy, I'll have to give you a better update once I get the car and drive it a little more.

Just called my salesman and he said they had to pull teeth to find my car, she'll be coming from Vancouver and should arrive within a few days. Jonny now has possession of my car, while I drive my dads Murano for the time. I'll start a brand new build thread once shes here!! I have already compiled a list of what I want to do :)
