Looks good! does the 4 hours include setting it up to be coated and dry time? seems like a long time. I have plans to do this for the winter.

Thanks. Yea 4 hours is for jacking up the car, taking all the wheels off, putting newspaper down, cards around the rims, dipping and waiting 15mins for every coat, I put on 5 coats. Removing the hella supertones, 5 coats cause the damn angles on those are crazy. Taping/ newspaper the bumper, 3 coats, removing the tape/newspaper and lightly cutting the dip so it comes off straight. Still have to installed the horns, didn't have time before work today.  Next time it should be a lot faster, I re-watched the youtube how to plastidip twice while I was doing it, I was so cautious.  If you need a hand let me know.

Installed the blue rally armours today.  Ran into a little issue, the side skirts came all the way up blocking the holes in the front wheel wells.  So, I brought out the trusty old DeWalt and alleviated that problem.  For the rear I used a stubby for the screws and when I really wanted to torque, I used the phillips insert and a 6mm open ended wrench.  Install was about an hour with front tire removal and drilling.  Front and rear shifter bushings next.

I did the shifter bushings today.  Cobb front and Kartboy rear.  First time duration 2 hours, second time more like 30mins.  Difficulty, I'd say 3/10.  Hardest part was getting the old rear bushing off and the new one on.  That sucker is tight and there's no room, I ended up removing the whole shifter and replacing it that way.  For front bushing put some grease or anti-seeze and it'll pop right in.

Shifts seem crisp and snap into place now.  There's a secure feel now after I shift.  100% recommend it.

Is there much slop in the shifter now that the new bushings are installed?

Virtually no slop in the shifter anymore.  When I shift, it goes to one spot and that's it. There's no unpredictable movement.   For the price I paid, brand new private sale, and the ease of install, one of the best mods yet.

Went to replace the cabin air filter and there wasn't one in there to replace.   :o
Anybody who bought there ride used, should probably check it out.  $35 @ canadian tire
And the airflow points down, which I though was a bit odd because the fan is underneath but I guess it's a suction fan.

Only the STi's came with a filter from the dealer IIRC.

I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.

All the STi's and 05+ WRX's.  That said, that was 8+ years ago, so like Brian said there's no telling what the PO might've done.

Few small mods today, added 7" touch screen nav/dvd from fleabay and a dual gauge pod cluster.  I had to shave the bezel a bit to make the touch screen fit.   And guage pods will probably be wideband and intake air temp.

Is your hood latched in this pic? if not you need to pull your grill out and move the striker/latch down a little bit to suck the hood down a little further and play with the rubber bumpers on the rad support to even them out to the fenders.

Car is looking really good! I considered buying that hood and half regret not now, I wanted to paint it and leave the vents carbon.

Yea always wanted to try to bring the latch down but I looked at it briefly and didn't think it was possible.  I'll look again tomorrow and I'll definitely check out those rubber bumpers on the rad.  That space between the hood there was turning into the ignore it and it's not there phase.

Your rides looking good too, and you better jump on that vis cf trunk, cause i'm next in line for that too  >:D

That's not the latch. That's the little rubber grommets that you use to adjust how the hood sits. That's why one side looks unlatched, and the other side is fine.

I pretty much guarantee its a combination of the both. The latch will need do be moved down to add more tension and the adjusters fo level the corners to the fenders.

Went to crappy tire today and picked up some lucas upper cylinder injector cleaner.  All the guys at work swear by it blah blah.  Fuel mileage, conditioner, etc. etc. I'm not really expecting too much out of it.  Going to try 3 tanks straight.  $5.99 for 1 tank or $13.99 for 6.

So, it's been awhile but I've finally saved a bit of money and  purchased an aem uego.  I'll take some pics of the install next week.  I figure since I'm catless and I've got a 02-05 wrx I can just pull out the rear O2 sensor and plug the wideband in there instead.  Anyone know for sure?  I'll try it out.  If it throws me a cel I'll get the bung welded.

Also bought a used competition light flywheel.  13lbs I weighed it.

Next plans are ACT SB9-HDSS clutch good for 430 ft lbs, way more then enough or Exedy Stage 1 HD 319 ft/lbs.  The Exedy is getting close to the limit if I try to push for 350whp this year but I've heard nothing but good things about Exedy.  At any rate, I'm still leaning to the ACT.

Taking out the rear has been a big debate on nasioc. I know on my car( tuned by sunny) you can't as it will screw with the closed loop fueling. It would be best to email him and ask.

Yea, I been reading about it and I think my car 2.0L has a 16-bit ecu and your car 2.5L has the 32-bit ecu, and with the 16 bit the rear O2 sensor is just for cat efficiency (which I have none) and the 32-bit does fueling calculations.  I don't know for sure, you can't believe everything on the internet, you just got to try it sometimes haha.  That said, I did pm Sunny about it.  He's probably just like that same damn questions over and over lol.

Also, if someone wants a stock clutch/flywheel with about 30,000km, after I get my new ACT setup you can have it free, must be picked up   ;)
It doesn't slip but it won't bite like I want when I launch,
