Just waxed the board last night and finished scraping it down tonight.  It was pretty sticky when I went to rabbit with Awais and Kenny.  Hoping to get out to marmot one of these weekends and maybe lake Louise before Christmas.

When you figure out when and where you are going you should make a thread on here. Maybe a couple more people would want to have a little subaru cruise down. I know I want to go out here pretty quick and wouldn't mind cruising down with a few other subies.

I'll probably be going to Louise tomorrow. Keep an eye out for a WRB sedan with yellow wheels or a SWP sedan with black wheels (depending on who ends up driving)

Marmot opens both the top (Paradise/CRE) and the Ridge chair tomorrow! Definitely going up.

I was going to go to Marmot this weekend but tight for cash now after buying some studded Hakka 7's. Looking forward to my first road trip with the new tires though!

Probably heading down to Louise or Sunshine 2 weeks from now.

Silverstar looks pretty prime right now. Anyone going up there is weekend?

I don't know, but you should make the trek to Revy. I might be able to get you some floor space to crash on.

My friend who lives in town says that this year they have the most amount of snow for an opening.

I booked off a week over new years to go stay with my friend who lives in Golden and get a day or tow in at kicking horse and going to try and get a day at Louise and Revy too as I haven't had a chance to ride either of those yet and trying to get in a few this year I haven't ridden before.

I was looking at Revvy's Facebook site today… needless to say we didn't go to Silverstar and are tentatively planning on going up there to ride Saturday. Looks like an epic start to the season!

Awesome. Well if you guys go, I'll have a black jacket and acid yellow pants and boarding with a black helmet if you see me.

I like the sounds of that. Can't wait until I head there in 3 weeks. Definitely one of my favorite resorts!

My snowboard.

Unfortunately, I think i'm done riding the slopes.
Last year, I was in the zone to go faster and faster. My board hit a rock/ice and I don't remember a thing after.
I was fine and all but after that incident, I just don't find it enjoying and fun anymore. I get scared to go fast.

...Ride safe guys!  :(

Anyone get out on the slopes this weekend? We made the trek up to Revelstoke for opening day. Saturday was good, but it was pretty tracked out by noon. There was a lot of people there so it didn't take long to run out of fresh tracks. There was people camped out in line for the gondola… CRAZY! We stayed for Sunday. It was better. Half the people and an absurd amount of snow over night. Whatever the snow report said, it was wrong. We were getting fresh tracks all day.

The downside to starting the season off with 2 pow days? Owww. My. Everything.

I sprained my wrist at louise today on the last run thanks to all the ice. Good old louise and the groomed runs that are 100% ice by lunch time.

EDIT: Broke my wrist.
