Ya, I went to the game last night. It was great. The Oilers look very good. They get better every game. No Souray will hurt tonight though.

Just a charlie horse, shouldn't miss more than a couple games. Hopefully Gagner plays tonight, he left the game early last night with an injury.

I was shocked at how little fighting their was in both games. A total of one fight in the two games.

Even though there was only 1 fight, it was Macintyre. I am so excited about Oilers picking him up.

I've been avoiding this thread. Stupid Flames. LOL

I was at the Colorado games, and big B looked actually really good (well, so did our captain). Big B generally looks pretty good this year. The rest of the team occasionally just decided to pull their brains out and drop them on the ice while skating around in no apparent direction, hence 4 goals for Avs, and Kipper standing in the crease looking at his team going "wtf, dudes?!"

As for Edmonton, yeah, Flame-brains on ice again. I had to stop watching because it was getting painful.

There's more fights between Van/Cgy these days than Edm/Cgy... the media's just not smart enough to pick up on it and loves to highlight that "battle of Alberta" hehehe. I cheered for Edm right to the finals a couple years ago actually, at which point I cheered against them, because we'd have never heard the end of it down here.

For some reason I really thought bertuzzi IF he could find his game back would be a real good signing by the flames. I think with Bertuzzi he has to be in the right hockey market, right moment and right players to flourish. Calgary is a team with his style of play and it helps playing with Iginla and conroy/cammy in one line. Good on him and the flames to give him a shot. Atleast it wasn't an over payment like Anaheim.

As for the oilers team looks promising I like the way they play but they are stuggling with the consistancy, hey I'm not complaining if its working for them why complain but sooner or later will catch up not playing the full 60 min a game. I like how everyone is stepping up reminds me of the Oilers of 06 cup run. Hemsky is taking a bit of time to get noticed same with Cole. I think Cole should be played on the RW where he normally plays and Hemsky to be moved on the LW. Those two need to pick it up once they get going the oilers will have a different looking team I think.

Brodeur is set to break a bunch of records in the next couple of seasons, let's hope the team in front of him can keep up! The Devils are in one of the strongest divisions in the league now, so I expect some good games.

To their credit, the Flames played a GREAT game, awesome production from the not-so-top-line forwards. Borque's last play for the third goal was just pure hard work, great to see.

And oh, the Flames figured out how to play defense!! hurray!!

I was so pissed off when we brought Bertuzzi on but you know, he is pulling his weight in gold I would say, I'm not a fan of him but it doesn't mean he isn't a great player.

Lets hope we can keep our composure together and keep this streak up
