Winter is just around the corner and now is a good time to get your car ready for the cold weather.
Here are a few things that you should look after before the snow starts to fall.
-Switch to your winter tires, if you need them mounted now is a good time to do it before the snow falls and the shop is booked solid.
-Put an emergency kit in your car, or if you have one check that everything is there and ready to go. Some good things to have in the car include a snow shovel, ice scraper and snow brush, a flash light, emergency blanket, jumper cables, some extra cloths, and emergency food.
-Check your fluids, now is a good time to make sure that if you have summer washer fluid that you start switching to the winter blend. Nothing is worse than if you are trying to clear your windshield but the fluid freezes. Also make sure that your engine coolant is still in good shape and can handle the cold.
-Check your tire pressures, when the temperatures start to go down your tire pressures will also start to go down.
-Check your windshield wiper blades that they are still in good condition and ready.
