Motul Group Buy through LightSpeed
« on: October 16, 2008, 02:59:49 pm »
Hey everyone.  I just got off the phone with Jeff from Lightspeed.  I'm looking at ordering some Motul oil for my car and I'd like to save on shipping to Edmonton.

Phone Jeff to get the best deal on the product you want.

If anyone from Edmonton or around Edmonton is interested in getting some product from Lightspeed, we can save on shipping, as everything will be sent to me, then we can arrange to meet up.

Once it's determined who all wants what, then Jeff can divide the shipping cost between everyone and everyone can just pay there individual invoices by phoning Jeff.

I hope this all makes sense to everyone.

Now's the time to get that engine oil, tranny oil, or diff oil you've been needing.  Heck there's lots of things you could get!

Let's make this happen guys and gals

My car is almost brand new.
Has 4000kms on it.
I've alread done the oil, and have about 4 oil changes worth of mobil 1 to use  up.

Is there anything else I should change (in the spring, its too late now), at such low mileage?
If someone can suggest, then I'll get in on this.

I have pricing on some products but not all.

I'm just waiting for Jeff to confirm if I can post it up or not.

EDIT:  I'm an idiot... I didnt read your post right.  I completely understand now.

That'd be great if we could avoid shipping.  Thanks a lot SleeperWagon!!

Hey all, PLEASE give me a ring to chat about the pricing for this Motul stuff, and possible shipping. 403.346.7960
Right now we're carrying a few different products, I'll tell you the products and the listed retail price (call for details!):   :)

5w30 Ester-based engine oil (8100 X-Max if you want to look it up), retail on this oil is $14.95/L
5w40 X-CESS PAO (polyalphaolefin-based, full synthetic) - $12.95/L
300V Double-Ester (Highest quality) 5w40, $44.95/2L can
Gear300 75w90 (Highest quality gear oil) - $27.95/L
MotylGear 75w90 (Next highest gear oil, also synthetic) - $17.95/L
90PA differential oil for clutch-pack LSD! - $29.95/2L  <----- This is the ultimate diff oil for any clutch-pack style LSD
Dot 5.1 Synthetic Brake Fluid - $12.95/500ml
RBF600 Synthetic Racing Brake Fluid (higher boiling point, etc) - $39.95/500ml
MoCool Radiator Additive (similar to Water Wetter, but doesn't damage cooling system) - $24.95/500ml.  One MoCool does an entire cooling system. Will typically lower coolant temps 15c/30f.
Gas/Diesel System Clean / Engine Clean - $28.95/300ml (Recommended to do one of these at least once a year, fuel cleaner does injectors, engine clean gets rid of gunky oil deposits in your engine)

I think that's everything we're carrying at the moment, I'll update the list if I missed something. Again, give me a call so I can chat at ya about specific pricing, quantities you'll need, and what all the various products do.
Jeff

Thanks Jeff.  Saves me from getting pricing over the phone.

I'd like to order my oil by tomorrow, but may stretch it out till Monday so people can get in on this over the weekend.

Jer, snackers, SleeperWagon....are you guys in on this?  Have you phoned and discussed pricing with Jeff at Lightspeed yet?

snackers, I'm sure Jeff can help you lock down what oil would be good for you on your relatively new motor.

SleeperWagon, when are you coming to Edmonton?  I'd like to have my oil ASAP if possible.

If SleeperWagon can't bring the stuff to Edmonton, just remember guys, it only takes a few people in on this to save a bunch on shipping, seeing as it's going to one location.

Chime in guys!

IIRC, the 8100 E-tech lite 0W-30 is being phased out so Jeff only has 5 - 1 liter bottles left...and they are for me ;)

Give Jeff a call and he'll help you decide what's best for you.

That'll be awesome if you bring this up this weekend.  I can do my oil change on Saturday afternoon now!

It's all good snackers.  I understand.

I've decided to keep this open till Thursday because SleeperWagon will be delivering the product to Edmonton this weekend.  That way more people can get in on this if they want.

Ok you can have it. Like you say now you have to get it to E-Town. There must be someone here that travels back and forth. I'm not sure the next time I will be down there. Ask xrider or Klautt for a favor. I know they travel often

Cheers
Anthony
