Part of the reason I've stuck with relatively new cars compared to the cars I really want to work on is that I don't have enough cash to work on older cars.
Even before they hit the collector market it's still brutal to track down parts and techniques.
This couldn't be more true, I'm having a harder and harder time tracking down parts, luckily I've got good connections in Vancouver where the old school toyota scene is quite massive.
Then there's the learning curve to working on them, yes I have an FSM but when putting on aftermarket parts there are almost never installing guides that are in english lol
But in the end I think I'll feel like this was well worth the hassle, it'll be almost a one of a kind car, that I've built on my own.
But anyway..
Over the past week, rear axle housing is back in the car!
But it needs to come partially out again because I couldn't read my Japanese install manual for the coilovers and I need to modify the factory bump stop...
But this weekend should bring some good progess, if I had a set of wheels/tires I could probably take it for a little drive..
Still no exhaust though or body panels, exhaust is en route in my JZX100 coming from Japan right now
Pictures over the weekend most likely...
