More grip is always better. As long as weight doesn't go through the roof.
Stock wheel and tires approx 41lbs
This wheel 20lbs, tire 28lbs.
Increase of 7lb per corner.

Nowhere near the same league for grip... anyway, I'm no drifter.

I'm curious what fitment issues there are for that wide of tires? And the effects on handling/agility by the super wide rubber? I know you'll have more power to play with but still.
The wheels and tires easily fit the rear with moderate camber and require some more camber to fit the front. You cannot run larger than 245 tires at this offset on the front without coilovers. I went for a square setup because I don't like the different concave dish between front and rear and this wheel and tire combo was the one which really reached out to me. Plus, the hardcore track junkies itchbay about understeer on a staggered set-up. Staggered is fine for a HP monster... which the BRZ isn't.

I'll also be adding steering rack bushings for more direct front tire feedback.

This makes me moist. We can cruise down 17th together in our girly cars.
I... me too. If you go JDM, yo, we can hold hands through the window.

Love it.

Gotta say, if I were building a similar car, I would probably copy a lot from you. WRB BRZ, rocket bunny kit, these wheels and an s/c. Yes plz.
Not a fan of the RB body kit. Plus, it takes an enormous amount of effort/deep pockets to install.

You'll never be rid of me, sweet cheeks.

Are you planning on modifying the body at all?

No plans for body work... except maybe a lip. Fenders are already factory rolled.
I may just dick around with cosmetics and take as much colour off as legally possible.

No, but maybe NAWS.
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.

Interesting wheel choice, grip will be great but I wasn't expecting that big.
I don't name things I know I'm going to sell eventually. Hence why I'd never name any kids I had.

I have nearly $2500 worth of tires that size sitting in my basement. You could say they were a major influencing factor.

This Monday the supercharger will be installed by VEX. I typed "SC" initially, but I find "supercharger" more imposing. I should get the car back after a week of testing.

Did a photo shoot today to document the car in its last few hours of stock appearance. Being -27degC I couldn't find anywhere open to wash the car so I took photos of it complete with road grime. Found a spot out near the airport which gave me a feeling of wide open space and managed some decent shots against a reasonably bare horizon.

Also found a chance to test out the Pedal Dance. It removes the electronic brake force distribution which is present even when you think you've switched everything off by holding both buttons for five seconds. I'm still smiling. This is the first time I've managed to hang the back end of this car out and control its position purely by my own inputs and without any interference from the car. Much fun, with a lot of potential for misadventure if you're not being careful. I reset everything before I reached any traffic because uckfay going sideways in -27 in this city with Calgary drivers.

Wow that's crazy. Does this apply to just the brz/frs or same for all subarus with the brake safeties?

I'm assuming only this platform. I used to go and play with what I thought was all the nannies switched off and pull into the garage smelling burning brakes in the BRZ. The STI shows no sign of this brake force distribution (or I can't smell it).

Can't wait to see this thing after the SC is in.  After seeing your STI build I can only assume this will be nice and clean.

Haha, I'd expect nothing less from you. You and LDS should compare notes. I'd probably wither under an onslaught from the two of you together.

All I can focus on is that ball.
That moment in the change room when you're staring to space, going over the game and analyzing what could have been done better, only to find your thousand yard stare has descended another man's balls (awkward). Small garage means tennis ball mobiles for parking needs.

Thanks for the kind words. I do my best.
