This Monday the supercharger will be installed by VEX. I typed "SC" initially, but I find "supercharger" more imposing. I should get the car back after a week of testing.

Updates? You can't tell me you haven't been relentlessly harassing Vex for pictures and updates?
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.

Yeah, about that...

I had to get the car looked at to resolve the fried BIU. Looks like I can get it replaced under warranty. This isn't a stocked item and will hopefully be done by next Tuesday.

WARNING: do not use a metal pry to remove the door bulbs. You will short circuit your BIU (Body Integrated Unit). Ask me how I know this. You can also ask me why I'm pissed off that there was no warning anywhere of this possible outcome. I only found out what had happened because the interior door courtesy lights won't turn off (hello battery drain). I Googled it and found these threads a little too bloody late:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21537
http://www.subarubrzforum.com/9-subaru-brz-general-discussion-forum/12314-help-led-lights-doors-2.html

Anyway, looks like I need to pay a visit to the dealer and see if I can get a replacement BIU under warranty. Currently running without any bulbs in the doors.

To state the obvious, things are going to be complicated trying to get warranty work done if there is a thumping great supercharger sitting under the hood. Plus, out of respect for our poor little tuner, we decided it best to postpone the install until the weather warmed up a little. Last I communicated with him he was complaining that the batteries in his lap top couldn't handle the cold in the dyno room.

Next week we should be back on track.

Did you seriously just post a BRZ buttplug?

... aah, well, you see. Yes.
When there is a single exit exhaust this will no longer be a butt plug but a cover over an unsightly hole. Which actually sounds like a butt plug. So yes.

No dual exhaust with the S/C? That's one of my favorite parts of the BRZ...

4-cyl with a single collector doesn't need 2 exhausts… IMHO.

Performance wise, I agree completely. Aesthetics wise, I love the dual exhaust on the BRZ.

Absolutely agree!  Nor do they need quad tips...

I like the block off plate and single outlet.  When I had my mazda 3 and on mazda forums, guys were modding to have dual outlets and I wasn't sure then the current 3's and the gr impreza's came out and I was content on the single outlet.

Keep the good stuff coming.

Cars with HP don't need slippery surfaces to make circles.

They need torque. Not that your V8 would know what that is.

And HOON.

Seriously though, when I went to event #3, there was a BRZ and an FRS there, and they both did pretty well. You have studded tires don't you?

On the actual topic, what made you go with the single tip? I like the dual tip look so I'm curious.

I get the performance argument, but unless he's running truly dual exhausts, a system off each cylinder bank, I don't see how it would impact him negatively.
