Pics of the wheels? If they look like my WRX rim I wants one
 like this;

I'll toss you some information here to help in your search.

That shape/style of wheel was specific to the 05 WRX (in bronze) and 03/04 Legacy GT (in silver).

So, good luck in your search... but they're unreasonably rare for OEM wheels.

(But, like anything, can be found reasonably cheap made in China: http://www.hubcaphaven.com/p/4065/aly68731a-subaru-impreza-legacy-wheel-painted-28119ag05a.html)

So while I was in the process of doing an oil/filter change I thought I'd have a quick look to see why I could always smell fuel in winter and occasionally in summer.

Well, itshay:

I said "uckfay you" and "untcay" at least 35 times.

Finally:

I'll have to come back and re-tension when it's cooler. That poor little phillips head is looking pretty munted.

To reiterate; untcay and uckfay you.

The end.

You should make some DIY videos. Call it something like OZZYYC DIY, and instead of anything useful, the dialogue should just be

FA Q FA Q FA Q FA Q

There was some silence between outbursts but that short video summarizes it quite well. If I didn't think it would upset your wife I'd consider asking you to make one like that.

There was also some uckfaying on my deck later when it hailed halfway through my brewing process.

Front Struts (235411 km)

After replacing the bushings in the front LCA I started noticing a creak coming form the drivers side strut during slow full lock turns. I re-organized my garage so that it was more comfortable to work on the car and started to pull the front end apart.

Removed and disassembled the struts, re-greased the tophat bearing, removed surface rust and sprayed them down with fluid film:

Just in case the top self locking nuts were backing off because they were tired I installed some new ones:

Really, what is the point of this thing? I've been driving around without it now for months and I can barely tell the difference with it installed:

Lots of swearing involved during the re-install as the captive nuts threads had rusted a touch.

I never posted it but she has refreshed front LCA's with urethane bushings. She handles rawther well.

Oh, Pumpkin now has a new owner... A WSC lurker and a nice guy. Thread will stay open for information purposes.

This could be my first and last post as I prefer the lurker status but, for an update...

  • Weekend 1: Removed the front window tint and WSC stickers as they were right at the window ledge, which is pretty much in line with the height of my kid's eyes.
  • Weekend 2 (this past weekend): Alignment at Vex.
  • Monday (yesterday): Airbag recall appointment.  Their 30-point "inspection" revealed "leaking" inserts in the front - a case of mistaken identify with the fluid film Tuna applied a couple hundred kms ago.

As noted in Shane's first post, not nearly as quick as the STi (I traded in a GR recently) but she's a lot of fun to drive... a lot more fun than I expected.

Can I hire you to check on my ex-gf who's moved to Asia and tell me what she's up to?

absolutely you can, but just be warned; while my rates are low, I've been known to rack up a mean expense account...
