Recently ordered all stage 1 bulbs from diode dynamics as well and really happy with them. Did my map and dome lights in red though.

I was checking out their website to get an LED kit but I only see interior lights for the GD models. Are they the same bulbs as the GR models?

Lights look awesome btw, those reverse lights are crazy bright!

Check the Sylvania website for GR bulb types

Thanks for the review, OP!

I believe I live in the same building. I'm one level down usually and you'll see my FXT with the WSC plate frame  :)

That's right! I recognize the absolutely stupid use of green and blue in a poorly lit underground parking to denote 2 different types of spots....

I put the same reverse lights in...

I'd say visibility has increased.

I'm considering getting the red for the map and dome lights as well. Not for looks but for function as they look like they'd be less harsh on the eyes at night at the same brightness. How do you find your red leds?

They're really good at night, definitely not as blinding as the uber white lights that they do have.

I pulled the trigger last night and placed an $294 order after the 20% off code. Hopefully they live up to the hype and arrive quickly.

Thanks for the code, good sir.  I also took advantage of it for some back up lamps.  My "too dark" tint is always an issue in the winter, so hopefully these help out a bit.

Yeah I'm sure I'm going to get to know that tinted white car in the winter feeling pretty intimately as well. Which is why I went LED crazy off the bat.

In other news forgot that what I was buying was in USD. Look on my credit card and I actually blew $335 on LEDs.

Has anyone been using these for over a year without any failures? Everytime I switch interior bulbs to LED they seem to start flickering and fail within a couple months.  :(

I've had mine in since last winter. So far so good.
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.

One of my license plate LEDs conked out recently...
They're going to park their car over there. You're going to park your car over here. Get it?

Any of you guys pickup the mid-range ~200-ish lumens rear bulbs? Or would you say go with the crazy sun makers.

I assume you're talking about the reverse lights? I have yet to install mine to give a proper review of them but I can give the reason why I went with the tiny dieing star level bright ones instead of the mid range.

1.) I have tinted rear windows, they're not limo tint or anything stupid like that, but slightly annoying at night none the less. Therefore balls deep on external lighting would assist backing up greatly.
2.) The actual design of the LED unit itself. The XP50's vs the HP36 have a projector lens built into them to direct the light, so you're not relying mostly on whatever OEM reflectors are in the housing to direct the light.
3.)........

Bought some reverse LEDs for my Gr. Bought the second from the top ones. $60 bucks.
So far they are awesome! Can see the curbs way better when parallel parking at night.

My only compaint would be that the LED bulbs are so huge, you can see them sitting in your tail lights. Not that noticeable though.

How would you rate the brightness compared to above? :P I haven't bought mine yet because I'm hoping to see some of them in action, then decide.

I can try and snap a pic for you if you tonight. Its hard to tell because I havent seen those other ones in person. The $60 doller ones are still super bright! I am happy with them. I cant justify spending 90 on reverse LEDs.

Thanks Stig. Lookin' good!

Looks like DD only carries $20/40/90 LEDs now, not the $60 you mentioned. Was it the HP36 also?
