What do you guise use for interior plastics?  Like the dash and other hard surfaces.

I tried 303, it stays for maybe 3 hours and then feels rough again.

I have 303 and the Sonax. Sonax is nicer for all in one. Foams up a bit and cleans. 303 provides better protection IMO.

What do you mean by feels rough again? I prefer my interior looks like new with nothing added. No gloss or greasy feel. Both of these products provide that when used appropriately.

I use that matte finish Sonax on my dash too, it makes it look nice and clean without being shiny or greasy looking and smells better than most others.

Wurth cockpit care is also good for plastics and dash.

and this stuff for upholstery.

They have lots of good detailing products you don't hear of or see very much as its not something you find on a shelf in most places.

looks rough, as in bumpy rough.  The LGT doesn't have a smooth dash - it's textured, but it's not shiny.  so rough.  door cards are shiny and textured though.

For dash cleaners, dont bother using armorall. it smells like assay and starves it of moisture, speeding up the cracking process that you see in old cars

Holy hell. Is that contamination on the front or rear?

Looks good!

im going to guess on the rear. typically only the rear and the bottom of the doors is where you'll get a lot of rail dust. as for the front...it really doesnt get that much rail dust because it gets sandblasted instead  ;)

Hahah. Ya, my girl's white Mini has to be clayed multiple times a year because of iron deposits on the rear. So frustrating.

I was asking because I would have been amazed if that weren't the rear.

I'm not up to date on Subaru macro shots.  ;D

Cool i'll pick up one of these when i'm done with the claybar, thanks kenny.

And yes the pics are from the rear hatch. They are mostly in the bottom side of the doors and rear panels/bumpers.

What do you guys use to clean or keep the sti seats(alcantara) fresh/clean? I usually just use damp mf soak with water then dry and leather cleaner for the leather part. Just wondering if theres other better alternative? Thanks

Vacuum well before you wet it.

I use Einzsett Blitz Reiniger (Lightning Cleaner) and steam or hot water/vacuum.
Keep the fabric guard off your plastics:

Currently for the interior i've been using Autoglym interior shampoo, its good on anything like your plastics and fabrics.

And it smells like lemons  8)

By the way, I dont think i saw any post above regarding products for the exterior bumper trim pieces and rubber seals for the windows, since the black plastics fade out over time, and the seals dry out and lose color. For those parts i use Autoglym bumper and trim gel....looks like alien jizz but works like a charm  ^-^

Has any ever heard of/used a clay cloth instead of a clay bar? I've been using one at work for the last month or so and it works great, just as good if not alittle better then a actual clay bar. It also take 1/4 the time to use that a clay bar does.

As for plans regarding the car, I'm going to start saving for when the engine blows up.

That sounds amazing! It's so hard to keep hold of a tiny chunk of clay.

Where do you work? Do we have one in Calgary? Send me a magic clay cloth!! :D

At Ford, but the link jvd added looks like the exact cloth i use. We order them through a work distributor called ronjen for about 65$ each, they work great, only flaw is if you don't have the car moist enough you can leave a tiny streak, it wipes right off with a micro fibre cloth but its a pain to wipe off if you leave a big one. Highly recommend it, you can do it while you are drying the car and it only takes a few extra minutes to make the car noticeably shinier as well as feel way smoother.

As for plans regarding the car, I'm going to start saving for when the engine blows up.

I use this stuff on my wheels every spring, it's amazing wheel wax! Has PTFE (whatever that is) in it to seal them pretty good, leaves them really slippery so brake dust and dirt don't stick.
