I totally spaced on the release of this game. Now I'm scrabbling to find a PS4 bundle :(

It looks incredible though.

If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.

Haha. I opened my bundle and saw the French cover and thought of your post. I panicked for 0.25 seconds and then noticed the English cover in the box.  :D

Stupid question. Are the respective console universes completely different? Like everyone I can see when I'm playing on XBone is on XBone, not PS4?

No. Although Destiny effectively lives on one computer network, you can only meet and play with people who own the same console as you.

Thanks. That's too bad.

Had my first 3 hour session last night. Very interesting game, definitely like the Halo-esque feel to it. Holy crap though don't do missions that are too far ahead of your level, it'll be frustrating. I've never really been into the massive online multiplayer thing, but I see a lot of potential in this game. You could just use it to play multiplayer (Crucible) just like everyone did with Halo(s), or you could go deep into the story/missions. Or both.

Reviews are pretty mixed overall, I wonder if it's because of the hype, or the fact that this type of game builds and gets better the more everyone plays it.

Just gotta remember, the game released today is not going to be the same game in 6 months, they are releasing content every month, with major expansions every 3, this is going to be a 10 year franchise.

I got dicked around hard with their online preordering system. Buy game when there are still showing stock online? Nope. Get put on indefinite backorder without notification and you either have to cancel and lose out, or the second it randomly decides to ship you cannot get a refund. I'll never use it again for anything remotely time sensitive.

I think I hit level 9 tonight. I've just been putting in hours on my brothers xbox until my sunset overdrive edition comes in haha. Still have to wait another month and a half for that  :-\.

Overall, I like the game so far. I think it's a nice change of pace from the normal call of duty gaming for me. I'm curious if there will be a solid competitive scene for multiplayer. If so, i'll definitely be hoping on gamebattles with the game. I feel that I picked up on the mechanics fairly quickly, and i've hit some pretty sweet shots online in my little time playing it so far.

Feel free to add me. GT: Markkenko

If i'm on and playing, shoot me an invite, and we'll get a few levels or matches in. I'll add you guys once I can steal his xbox again 8)

Are these monthly releases going to cost money?  This game isn't that good. It's fun and all but I know I'm gonna get bored of it in a few weeks.

Lvl 21. Grinding gear is a bit of a drag, but not horrible if you're playing with friends.
