How are the valves now that they've seen a fair amount of methanol?

This is after a trip to Vancouver where I set the threshold to spray starting at ~1psi of boost, so basically any incline or acceleration would trigger it.  It used ~6L of water/meth.

That looks a whole lot better than before.

Where did you end up putting the injection nozzle?

looks like I'll be ordering a meth kit for my ecoboost this weekend...

Wow! That's a night and day difference from how it was before.

Now this has me thinking about a water/meth kit...

That pre/post meth difference is amazing.  Would you recommend meth on any DI engine?  Is it ever too late to throw meth on?
The mileage is also great.  What are you averaging with that car?

For meth injection to be effective (for valve cleaning), it has to be sprayed frequently and I suspect it is better at preventing build up then removing stuff already caked on.  Is it worthwhile for any DI engine?  Depends. As the deposits build up, peak airflow (power) will be reduced but, how long it takes to reach, say, 5% reduction? 100,000km? Is the reduction which happens at the upper RPM range, important to you?

For fuel mileage, with 83 fill-ups, the average is 7.95L/100km

It's more of a preventative maintenance issue for the future since the older Audi FSI engines are notorious for cold start misfires due to carbon build up.
