I understand tat with the crosstrek, you need that lead-weight in your right shoe to keep the thing moving on the highway :P

You have first hand experience with this.  Certainly with that car the fact that if its loaded up you need a lot of full throttle doesn't help your fuel economy...
I don't name things I know I'm going to sell eventually. Hence why I'd never name any kids I had.

Crazy gas mileage.  We have a 2014 Crosstrek and been on a few road trips and the computer still reads 10.2L/100km.  What is this witch craft you do to get the 6.2? Any tips?

Our '15 Crosstrek with the CVT got between 6.2-6.8 L/100km on our road trip down the Oregon coast a couple weeks ago.
Usually when the wife is driving to/from work which will be 90% highway it's 7.2-7.4  L/100km.
Is yours the CVT or 5 speed?

The L/100km reading in my pics is the "trip average" since the last fill-up, not the "average from the time it left the factory".  It is all highway driving.  I looked up the specs for the Crosstrek and the rated highway mileage is similar to the new WRX.  Secret?  Probably the lack of lead weights in my right shoe?

Oh I get ya.  Yea the 10.2 were getting is the average since we bought the car, so daily driving+highway+helping people move.  What's your overall average like?
It's the CVT, wife doesn't know how to drive manual.

His average is probably pretty low because his wife drives highway 90% of the time.

Average fuel economy (ODO) is 1.4L/100km   :D :D :D

IMG_20150806_200212

The center display was replaced a couple of months ago and I guess the average consumption data was stored in that module...it was sitting at 7.8L/100km before it was replaced.

My records for 45 fill ups ends up being 8.06 L/100km.

agree WOT will usually invoke open loop rich fuelling which will obviously hurt fuel economy.  However, large (non wot) throttle openings when the engine rpm is near the torque peak should yield the best fuel economy (lowest BSFC). Deep manifold vacuum wastes energy by making the engine work to breath in (pumping losses).

Yep, the overall average is 7.2L/100km.
It get's the almost the same fuel mileage as the Justy which is impressive since it has twice the HP and is 1,000lb heavier.

Yeah, that looks like Nameless alright. With the 4" mufflers.

Can we get a sound clip? I have the muffler delete ones myself and I'm not sure if I wanna wake the neighbours again. ;D

Sounds great. I'm dreading early cold starts already. For my neighbours' sake.

Are those Kartboy hangers?

Pretty sure you can add hangers to your order when you buy directly from Nameless.

Stock exhaust, full throttle

Nameless axle-back, full throttle

And the dyno chart.  Mostly a noise maker, as you would expect

I know, I know. I had them ordered on my previous cat back for the STI. Just never bothered to look at the brand and wondered which company manufactures them. Probably Nameless themselves.

That's a little dirty.

Are you seeing some issues? Or was this an investigation for curiosity's sake?
