Coffee beans?

Where's a good place to go to get good quality coffee beans? Something other than Starbucks would be a nice change.

Definitely Transcend.

Second to that, if you have a friend in Vancouver, get them to send you some Cafe Artigiano.
They also have a location in Calgary. Not sure if they sell the beans there.

Awesome! I'll definitely look into Transcend. I also found "Tea and Coffee co." and "Catfish" coffee from the intertubz. Any word on those?

Pretty well everything they roast is awesome.

I am a big fan of the 49th Parallel Espresso roast, it can be found at Sunterra Market and previously had been the bean of choice at Elm Cafe before they switched to Bows and Arrows beans.

For those in Calgary:

- Stumptown Coffee is available at Luke's Drug Mart (Bridgeland)
- Fratello Coffee is available at Analog (on 17th Ave)
- Phil & Sebastian

Ive ordered from Transcend, but they weren't really any better than Stumptown or Fratello, so Im sticking with what we can easily get here.

Stumptown is awesome. I want to go back to Portland just to go to their cafe.

I second Stupmtown and Fratello. I'm not a big fan of P&S as they tend to have the fruitier and floral roasts which I'm not a fan of.

I've been a fan of Kicking horse forever. A friend is the GM of the cafe in Invermere and I'm fortunate enough to get beans straight from roasting whenever she visits.
