Best place for flights/hotels?
« on: August 12, 2014, 11:37:38 am »
For the first time in forever, I have a passport again, and me and the GF would like to fly down to LA during Sept, and spend 3-4 days there. I'm not too picky on the dates, so I'm looking for a site that doesn't need exact dates to find the best price. I think we're looking around downtown, that way it's kind of close to everything (beach/shopping/etc).

If anyone can suggest some awesome sites, other than expedia, that'd be awesome.

Thanks!
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.

ive had pretty decent luck with http://www.trivago.ca/ . you can search with a date or without one and it shows the best price out of every hotel website.  Keep in mind this is more for just hotels and packages rather than just flights  8)

Being the first time traveling on my "own" where I'm planning it all, I'm ideally looking for packages. I'm sure if I booked it all separate, and leaned on some friends/family, I could make it cheaper, but I'm looking more for seamless this time around.

I refuse to use that site because of their creepy commercial.

Go home Subaru. You're drunk.

I'm sure it is. Too bad Nov comes after Sept.

I've never tried cheapflights.com but my fiancée's friends use it pretty religiously.

travelzoo.ca

Love that site deals from dinners, to shows, to flights with hotels. I get the emails every month and some of the top deals on them are amazing.

www.cheapOair.com

I usually search with www.kayak.com, but cheapOair has consistently had the best prices. www.YYCdeals.com or www.YVRdeals.com also, but given that you are in Calgary, YYCdeals.com will likely be your best bet.

For hotels I usually go through www.booking.com
